I have not been active in a while and therefore did not know that you had left. Congratulations on getting your PhD. Best of luck in your new job. Thanks for making Scratch a Wonderful place!
I just had an excellent idea! You see, many scratchers (who make games, not animations [like me]) feel that It's not fair that "animators" get front page after working 10 minutes on their project. My idea is that you make an entire section dedicated to animations! So there will be much less arguing and hate. Also, if an animation project tries to get submitted to a game section, then it will be moved. How about it? :D
it's a good idea, we have thought about it for a while but it tends to become complicated when it gets down to the details. We will continue thinking about it . In the meanwhile tags are a way to browse only certain kind of projects.
Hello Andre, I say this in full respect, but why did you let Doody back? There is a new account with the name "Doodynew". Either this is Doody, who's IP was blocked (she somehow got around it) or it's another impersonator, who should also be banned. If you do not want to reban Doodynew, then at least ask her to stop uploading so many animations onto scratch. She's flooding the front page, and not letting people who deserve it get a project on there. Please reply, thank you Andre.
It's not nice to pretend to be someone else, but it's not necessary illegal as long as they don't post anything mean or inappropriate. In general, the issue of identity in the Internet is a big question, because anyone can claim to be anyone else, it is very difficult to enforce identity checking.
Thanks for caring so much about Scratch. Posting a lot of projects is OK. The reason why projects get on Top Viewed, Top Loved, etc is because people view them, love them, etc. There is nothing someone can do on their own to get to the front page. There is no way for anyone to know for sure Doodynew is the same as Doody. If you find anything inappropriate in a project simply flag it.
i think in a new version we should be be able to have memory for scratch so if you accidently get out or have to leave. also we could have rpgs not only that but think of all the possibilities. so please i no it would take work but boy it sure would be realy nice
Man I really didn't think you were going to make it. Guess we should be friends now that you're in. If you didn't make it would we have gotten a scratch card or would the site just go down accidentally. Okay, sorry for all the sarcasm, you bring the best out in me.
