Neat! This is a lot like my first project! I've been thinking about how to restrict the notes to a key in scratch-- I guess just consult a list of ifs: If 0, 52, if 1, 54 (a major 2nd), if 2, 55 (a minor 2nd).. but maybe there's something cleaner. Anyway, howdy!
It's pretty minimal so far. It would be interesting to add some tonal/key control so that it doesn't sound quite so contemporary (purely random). I'll let a composer out there do that!
One thing that makes it work well is that when a ball hits the edge, it makes a percussive sound and changes the instrument for the ball. That way, when the balls "play" eachother, the instrumentation stays the same during that encounter.
This is like Brian Eno's 'Koan Pro' ambient music making program from 1995. Very cool. It would be neat to use voice samples, having random words and sentences spoken - many possibilities here! Nice work :)
Balls bounce in new random direction if they come in contact with eachother. Sometimes they like eachother and play a short tune together before parting ways. An edge kicks in some percussion.
All 5 balls are now a single exported sprite with a different costume, but everything else about them is randomly chosen!

Cool!
Wonderful! Adding percussion at the edges and having the brief group melodies are great touches!
Simple, but pretty cool! I like how the sounds randomly change whenever the balls touch and bounce off each other. :)
So cool. It rockz!!!!
Really Random, and Really Works, interesting watching and hearing them interact.
