I did that with a Luigi sprite sheet from spriters-resource.com but when I saved it and opened it in scratch, it was to small and I could barely see it. Why is this happening?
I would avise to open up two paint's, still copy the sprite the same way, then paste it into the other paint program and save. This allows you to get more sprites for the same sheet without needing to open it up again and again.
Teaches people how to use Paint to take one sprite from a sprite sheet. Please comment and tell me if I missed anything. Please don't say that you already know how to do this because I am pretty sure there is at least one person that doesn't know how to do it.

Useful, but you have to save the file in the correct format (bitmap or bmp., I think) or at least that is what happened to me sometimes.
