lol i found a glitch. when the mniddle sensore thing is touching black hold down the right arrow key then press the left arrow key and let go you will go through the black wall.
I love that I can see your scripts without having to download the project. This is a nice example of using a sensor sprite. How do you use this technique. I use this concept for creating a line-of-sight in several projects. For collision detection, I'd be more likely to program it into the sprite itself using sensor blocks to get the distance and coordinates of the other sprite. Also, is there a reason that you change the variable instead of broadcasting a message?

Also, sensors are great when you're only using polygons, but as soon as you use them on curved or slanted surfaces, you can't move up AT ALL!
there is a button in paint mode that looks like an addition(+)symbol.Use it to set the center of rotation
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but how do you change the center of rotation?
I'm having trouble making a scroller with effective sensors. If i upload it, couldu fix the glitches?
Yessir
(view all replies)But if u say go to player itll go to the MIDDLE of the guy -_- right?
You have to change the center of rotation
(view all replies)this was very help full :D now I know how to arrange m sensors.
Cool. I'm adding it to my Scratch Tutorial Gallery: The International School of Scratch (TISOS)
that is very complicated
It's actually not that complex, but I see your point.
Not really, is there a part you don't understand?

I hope you don't mind that I put your project in a gallery of teaching examples for my students.
Not at all, it's great to see this project can be of some use.

(view all replies)where do you teach?
(view all replies)this finally helps me to know what those blocks are when i click the stop bbutton that always show. it is a very useful tutorial.
how do you make it so that the one bar says uptest of uptest or downtest of downtest or middletest of middletest?
It is talking about a variable of a Sprite. The variable Uptest of the Sprite Uptest.
ahah you sensor don't work I jumped through the wall XD
how do you make the script say middle test of middletest or uptest of uptest???
thank-you.now my games can actually be good!!!

Thanks, I prefer to use variables instead of broadcasts because you can use them many times and the scripts will be clearer.
fantastic tutorial! It's going in my scratch lessons gallery
Thanks, any ideas for a future tutorial?
Nice! It really works well!
