I was surprised that I managed to make it, but you could do something like this as well. You just need to understand how every block works, then everything becomes clear.
Download the 38 sprites and 159 scripts of "Make Music" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Put the dots on the line. The higher up you put the dots, the higher the note. Press the play button to start. Includes five different instruments.
It works using y postitions. If it is between the bottom line and the one above it, then it plays that note according to the variable 'instrument' when it is touching the red bar, and so on.
