For anyone who wants to follow up on the 'Sawcutter' reference, look in the forum thread about music and sound freeware and shareware. I have also posted some demos of typical sounds produced with these programs and one of those features Sawcutter.
This is unique! The only way it could be clearer would be if the line you draw was somehow recorded as if on a seismograph because the screen can quickly become pretty confused. The only program I've ever seen that is even vaguely like this is 'Sawcutter' (one version of which is freeware from Cutter Music). Well done for such an inventive idea.
1. EXPRESS YOUR DRAWING IN MUSIC!!! Draw your own instruments. Press DOWN arrow once and press mouse button to draw and play music at the same time. Press SPACE to clear drawing.
2. PLAY MUSIC BY SWINGING!!! Press UP arrow to stop drawing, press mouse button once or continuously while swinging the string to play free music without drawing.
3. Open end string simulation. Move mouse up and down slowly to swing the blue end of the string. Viscosity decides how fast the propogating energy dissipates; mass decides how slow the string swings.
NOTE: Adjust Length to select length of string. Adjust Beat to change speed of tempo. Adjust Instrument to select your favour music instrument.
