Actually, it should be a boolean diamond block so you could make a "wait until <I receive 'hello'>" or a "repeat until <I receive 'hello'>"

There should be the wanted hide and show list blocks and the 'list includes' thing that you liked.

the actual font is VerdanaBold, if you have that on your computer. You can't do that on Scratch (make it bold) so you'd have to use a different paint editor.
Yeah I know that... I wish you could bold in scratch...
These would be great! There is a way to do the use of all those blocks, but it would make it SO MUCH EASIER!!!

Great ideas for some new blocks. Some of these aren't really needed because of the new version of scratch. I especially like the Factorial block. It could be very useful for mathematical operations and things. I like to do those kind of things. Nice work in getting your ideas out there.

for the glide 1 sec to ___ all you have to do first make 2 variables, the first one name x, and the second one name y. then make a: When Flag Clicked, set x to 0 set y to 0, forever go to x:(put in variable x) y: (put in variable y) then on the other sprite you want to glide to the sprite we just scripted, put when flag clicked glide to x: variable x y: variable y. then, on the sprite that has the set x to and set y to script just change the 0s in set x and set y to what ever x and y poitsion...
It would be easier. Or you could do : glide () seconds to x:(x position of{}), y: (y position of [])
You want the sprite to glide to. WHEW!
I have always wanted the "when I receive" bloxk except in a diamond shape like the operators. it wuld be so much easier! It would eliminate the need for complicated variables. Finally! Smeone who understands! By the way, these blocks look amazing! awesome job!

some of this is possible, like glide 1 secs to (whatever) just tell it to go there and the go to back just do like i dunno -(how many layers) you want i bet

Yea thats right. The algebraic formula is this: x!=x*(x-1) or something like that then you do some maths magic on it to make it keep going XD What do you use factorials for anyway???
if the value was 6 it would be 6*5*4*3*2*1 if the value was 10 it would be 10*9*8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1. Get it??

it should when i mean pick out the script you have to hold down the mouse and make a box around the script. it works for me!

(view all replies)Those scripts would help if you were making a huge project. They would save some time, but you can do all of those with the existing blocks in scratch. Some of you guys don't understand what you can do in scratch. I am not saying you don't, the point of this is that you can already do all of those things. The only exception is the pen one. I don't work the pen feature a lot so I am not sure about that one. But all the others you can do. If you don't believe me I will explain it to you! good job

But that is a control block. What Tux wants is one that can start in an all ready begun script. However, a more correct form of the block would be wait until I recieve.
