I kind of got bored one night while I was writing in my journal (I write in it at least evey weekend, when I don't have school), so I asked StarWasGirl if I could draw some of the cats in a work of Warriors fanfiction she's making (It's really good :D ). I drew some cats like I kind of only do in my journal. I'm nervous to draw like that in my Sketchbook because my friends like to look at it, and I think that they might think that my cats look weird. SO, (moving on with my rant...) I figured I coud draw a good cat in my journal, and then scan it. Perfect! One problem; the lines in my journal are these ugly grey things, and they show up when I scan stuff. *Sigh* SO, I have to go in and edit the whole thing in paint so that there are no lines, and the background doesn't look tan from all the acidental smudging that resulted from a new mechanical pencil, and--
Oh, bother...
SO; the pic is of Shadowstar laughing (never drew a cat laughing before :D ), and I kind of goofed off when it came to the funky text. I'll probaly make it a touch SANER later...

Thank you; I actually came up with the name "Shadowstrike", but I changed it to "Shadowstorm". then, it became ShadowSTAR, and I read the Warriors field guide section on Clan Lore. Turns out the first leader of ShadowClan was a black she-cat named Shadowstar. I had my cat named that before I even read the book! Major coincidence... =^.^= I also like to think of myself as an artist, but not a pro; just a novice. :)

OMG I've honestly never been called that before! =^.^= Thank you so much! :) I really don't read any of the Manga novels, watch any of the Anime (Not sure about the spelling...) cartoons or anything. I can't draw Manga humans at all! :) I only read the Warriors Manga and draw cats, and (sorry :( ) I don't really know much Japanese at all... Really, I'm not sure how to even PRONOUNCE Manga (Is is like "MAN-ga", "MON-ga" or "MAIN-ga"? LOL :D )

Thank you so much! 8D This is like me best so far, and the story behind it is kind of long; I had tried to (once again) figure out those mouths like the kind they use in manga comics. I couldn't do it, so I figured I should at least do a new mouth. I spent a long time on it, and it's only realy like 1"x1" or something... Thank you again! =^.^=

(view all replies)You don't have to worry about it not looking like evryone else's; I think it's good! :) It's actually a lot better than what my cats looked like in real life when I first started trying to draw them 4 years ago. (They had these weird eyes and noses; they kind of looked like circular-headed jaguars... :) ) Besides, Warriors are awesome no matter how they're drawn! =^.^=

Wow! It's cool how you know another language. Thanks , too! :D I don't realy know Japanese, but I know someone who reads a lot of manga novels and can write a few words in it, though :)
