Please help end horse abuse and slaughtering.Do you think it's sick? Do you like horses? Read some of the info about it below
Slaughtering: In Mexico they take a sharp knife and stab the horses spinal cord until they can't walk and it's severed. Then they take a rope machine thing and hang them and slit their throats open to bleed. They then take out some of the body parts. Another way they do it in other places is when they take a thing designed for cattle or cows which is like a nail gun and hit them or shoot them in the head which made for COWS not horses. Horses move around more, and their heads are shaped differently then cattles' heads, causing it not to actually stun the horses, just doing nothing. They then do the same thing but more slower death. They transport them for miles and days without food or water too. The trucks are designed for cows so when the horses go in the trailer they have to hold their heads uncomfortably.
Riding Abuse: They do a thing called tail nerving for Quarter Horses before a show. This is when they break the tail or inject things in it to make it hurt or numb so they don't swish their tail in the show because they don't like the way they swish their tails.Also people from place beat the poo outta their horses if they do something slightly wrong or bad. They also beat their horse in the show, before the show, and after the show. They do a thing called sawing when the rider takes his reins and rapidly switches them back and forth causing the bit to make the horses mouth bleed or have pain. If jerked hard enough on the reins, the horses mouth could break some teeth and cause damage to the mouth. Also when you pull hard on the bit you are shoving your horses tongue into it's throat.
Racing: Many thoroughbreds are breed and then sent to the slaughter house or they are sent to the slaughter house because of them being about or over 6 years old. Also many horses are injured or killed in the race. Horses at racings tracks are also beaten and smacked in the head.
To all the poor ponies and horses in the world, rest in peace or get a good home!

i have 2 rescue horses... they're from canada and they were shoved into tiny stalls and hooked up 2 a cathader to get hormones from thier urine... to get the hormones, however, they got pregnate every year b/c when they're pregnate, they have those hormones... the foals (sadly) are sold 4 slaughter... i'm so lucky to have these 2 mares. look up "PMU Mares" 2 find out more info. or 2 help...

omg i couldn't even watch it. I love horses more than anything in the world and it is sooo sad to see people hurt them. I hate anyone who hurts them. I agree with you totally people who slaughter animals should be stopped immediatly!

and there is nothing we can do just sing your name and that type of stuff i mean i what to help to but let those animals rest in peace they are batter up there then down here were we live

We own chickens, and i saw some pics online of factory farm chickens and it is HORRIBLE!
The chickens are debeaked and declawed- that's right, the beak and feet are cut off! AND, they have to do this when they are chicks becasue it is easier to cut them off then! How horrible!

i like to ride horses, but saying so i don't believe in spurs and i think crops aren't so bad as long as they are used responsibly (A.K.A. LIGHTLY!)
the president should stop horse abuse. doesn't the president care? wahhhhhhh! i almost cried. this is exactly why im a vegan.

This is so touching. I love horses and i ride alot but in saying that i do not beleive in whips and spurs. I also do not beleive in slaughter to any animals it is completely and totally inhumane and disgustingly inappropriate! Keep up the good work this is VERY effective in getting to your heart! RIP horses in others- you are out of this cruel world!

My Friend LOVES Horses And Sent A Letter To President Bush About Slaughtering (I Don't Remember If He Replied...). You Have Any Advice On How To Stop It? I Don't Thing Horses Should Be Killed For No Reason At All. I Mean, That's Just Awful! They Are God's Creatures, And Deserve Life As Much As All Other Animals!

yes, but getting vitamins strait from a,well, vitemins isn't as healthy as taking it from where most people get it.. and no, they don't grow bigger than meat eaters

And my pony needs to be ridden in a 3 ring snaffle in the 2nd ring, and if we're jumping, the 3rd hole... but that's because he's a bit unsure still about humans and jumping so he needs quite a bit of support. I have really soft hands too.
I don't eat any meat apart from chicken, bacon and sausages. And my gran, grandad and I all have laying hens! So we A. have organic eggs and B. have free-range eggs.
We eat NO MEAT AT ALL! and we have free-range eggs. My dad saw a you tube thing of no free-ranged eggs and chickens lay there dead forever.

Hey you wath animal planet? Me to! I love horses this makes me so sad! I fell bad for these horses. I cant belive what people do to poor little animals. Its so crule. my girlfrend has lick 3 Horse 1s name is coke cuse hes brown lol the orther ones name id wighty and the orther one is named after me! and she dosent abuse them!

I totally agree with everything except that I think its okay to put bits in your horse's mouth. It just helps you steer them and it causes no pain or harm. But otherwise, this is a GREAT project!
And I do use a bit but I use leg aids more then the bit.
Um, I really think you don't know a lot about horses. But I could be wrong...the bit is a piece of brass/metal that is put into the horses mouth and used for control. It does hurt a lot to have the bit moving around in the horse's mouth and "sawing" can brake horses teeth. The bit is basically using pain to control the horse. It like me putting twisted, sharp metal over your tongue and expecting you to be perfect. It can cause a great amount of harm too. (continued)

My horse Cocoa, is the thorough bred.. she was too short to race so they didnt feed noor give her water or clean her stall.... we went to get a tracker but came h0me with a horse... she was 2 years old born at that barn.. he gave us her for free and now she just turned 6.. she would have ben dead if we didnt go there... they would let her die just cause she was to shoort.... :(

that is soooooooooooooo sad! :( My friend actually did a speech all about horses. It was how to stop horse abuse! She was the runner up. It was really long to hear but worth it.
