Wow... you said you were about to delete the old version... 28 months ago...
transfer scripts from game to game?
best gravity in the whole of scratch!!! :)
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is too confusing for me... mind if i use it for a game though?
cool
I explain the concept of time based motion more thoroughly in my game development tutorial http://shawnblog.info/game-development-tutorial-1-smooth-time-based-movement/
It'd probably be more realistic, but I'm not sure it'd help put control into amateur developer's hands.
true. great job ;P
mabye you should make he's accelaration be affected by the amount the gravity is set at. Lets face, we'd run alot faster on the moon then on the earth
nicly done, once again!
Nicely coded. I have never seen anyone code like this with scratch, I mean with timers.
how do u play dis game
its not a game, its a siulation
Controls: Left Arrow, Right Arrow, Up Arrow to moveA and Z buttons change gravity. This is a simple example of how to use time based animation in order to make your character animate at the same speed on everyone's computer. Also highlighted in this project is momentum based movement, the "forever" game loop, jumping, and gravity. These basic concepts are used in professional game development, if you can learn these now, you'll have a definite advantage!I certainly could clean this project up some, but this is my first Scratch project and I need to take a break.Hey please.. if you use any of the concepts here please leave a comment, I want to see what you do with it!!
