Well it only works with circles, and you must have the coordinates of the centre of the circle. You could use colour sensing or distance as long as you know the coordinates of the circle.
i did some research (experiments) with bounces off of circles and edges with a given perpendicular- and i found that for a circle bounce- you tell the central circle to point towards the object. The object's bounce trajectory is (2 X [perpendicular surface dir])-[object dir] +180=traject.

Is it possible to work this using color touch sensing instead of sprite touch sensing?
Well not really, because the shape has to be a circle. You would use different calculations for flat inclines.
