A simple pong game INSTRUCTIONS *Move mouse to control paddle *Don't let the ball fall into the lava HOW I MADE THIS *The paddle just moves it's X coordinate to whatever the mouse's X coordinate is *I drew the ball using the gradient effect in the paint editor *The trickiest thing for me was to get the ball to bounce off the paddle right. I ended up going on the website and finding how someone else had done it: "point in direction (180 - direction)". I still find this confusing but it works really well. Then I turn a random amount to make it more interesting. MORE IDEAS Make the game more complex or change images.

it's just forever set x to x position of mouse pointer.

Perhaps you could remix it and add blocks for the ball to break? You could even make levels. :)
You find this fun? Blah, try mine, I know I only spent 2 days on it but it doesn't just stop after it hits the bottom, it's score based, versing the computer in 2 modes (easy and hard), has sound, realistic opponent and Instructions before the game. (link to project) I was going to add different modes, such as 2x ball, 4x ball, miniball, insane mode and speed ball as well as bonuses in game but I've got to finish the IPO chart for every sprite (it's an assignment)...
