INSTRUCTIONS Use arrow keys to move HOW THIS CODE WORKS I made this program so others could make their own pacman and other maze games and artistic expressions. The way this program works is that whenever you push an arrow key, pacman points in the direction you push (if "left arrow key" pressed point "left"). Then pacman moves forward as long as his whiskers (a purple dot in front of his mouth) are touching the color green. You can see this in the pacman sprite "if (purple touching green)". If pacman touches red, the maze switches. MORE IDEAS To change it just draw any maze/path you want to using the same color green I used (in the scratch paint editor that's the 4th square down in the green column). Then change the pacman costume.

Cool! I am making my own Pacman stratch project and I was wondering how you get Pacman to stop when he hits the border. Cause on mine he moves and doesn't stop!!

Okey I'm not a great programmer myself, BUT THIS STINKS!!!!! The maze is dragable, and on level two , there are invisible walls or something!
Hi! I'm a math teacher and am using this demo with the kids. But we did not download and copy. We copied the code manually and created our own mazes and pacmen. We got every part of the game to work <i>except</i> the maze costume change. Could you look at the code and see what is wrong? These are fifth and sixth graders that simply love your work and are excited and (now) frustrated. Thank you!

interesting demo for people to learn scratch. when i downloaded scratch it didnt work for me because when it was compressed the colours went off and it was impossible to move

yup, this was made by us, the sample projects team. We put together the projects that come with scratch. Glad you enjoyed remixing it!
(view all replies)I have edited it! It has 4 levels, but the maze it's different and you have to collect money and kill enemies. It is larger. I didn't gave you credit because this is not made by you, you can find it in projects when you download Scratch. (link to project)

awesome project, but, why can i drag the maze/board and pacman??? because of that, i pass all levels easily.....xD
Because on Scratch, there is a key lock beside wvery sprite and background. When locked, you can't drag them on the internet, and when the lock is unlocked, you can drag them on the internet.
