your guy gets sucked into the ground when you land, I guess it's because the jump is gravity based. You can solve it by adding another variable(or maybe another sprite) that pre-calculates the y-location.
This is a demo of a new game I'm creating, called Gobo Quest, in which the main character is a Gobo named Yellow. It covers the beginning part of the game, in Gobo Village. The controls are explained in-game. Please comment.
Like my Mario demo, I overcome the one-screen limitations of Scratch by using an area system. This allows the same Gobo to be used in all the areas needed (the Mayor is just one with a different costume). It tests for the area to make it say different things.

kewl! another way to not need to use the same sprites is to use a hide block. Then all the other sprites pretend it isn't there.
actually the files got corrupted... So I can't do the game :(
I think the game will be grate by the way the demo was done.
