Not really...you don't own property in this game. You pick a "success formula" made up of fame, happiness, and money and try to achieve it by trying different careers. I enjoyed it a lot as a child. http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1475/careers
My attempt to do a full-size board game in Scratch. Many challenges to overcome! This version is just to back-up my computer and test it out.
Controls:
Arrow keys to navigate the board
Swipe the mouse over one or both dice to get them rolling. Click on the Opportunity and Experience card decks.
To change Salary, Cash, Stars, Hearts, Occupation record, just click on the icon (Salary is the green curved arrow).
Click on the board tiles to toggle the full board view. Clicking on the outer track in full board view sends you to that spot
Very little of this game is actually automated, other than the navigation. You have to keep track of the money/hearts/stars manually as well as keeping your occupation record.
Credit to Parker Brothers who published this version back in the mid 1950's.

I do not know this old game. Is this a kind of Monopoly?
You are most welcome! Maybe you can start an interest in Careers in France :)
