Download the 2 sprites and 11 scripts of "Music Mutations" and open it in Scratch Project Notes
An experiment with randomly mutating tunes played on a simple pentatonic scale.
A random tune is generated and played either two or three times with slight variations. I think it makes pretty good listening - if you are in a sort of spaced out meditative mood :)

Well, I would like to see it but Boston is a long way from here. I guess it will have to wait until I'm down in that area again :)

hey i need some help. theres this guy named droid who wont stop commenting on my projects. i asked him to stop and he wont. in one he told me his phone number but i just deleted it. hes freaking my out. he keeps leaving random comments and i think i would classify him as a stalker. is there some way i could block him or something? or coud you send him a warning? i flagged some of his comments for innaproprriate language. thanks -icee
You can add him to your Ignore list...that means his comments on your projects will be blocked. I'll take a look into the situation.

Paddle2See, I need help. On the TBG forums, I can't make a signature even though I've been on for 4 days and it says you can have a signature after 3 days!
It looks like you first used the forums on the 22 so that means you've only been on for 3 days. Try giving it a little more time.

Did you just delete some messages and then click on the back button? That can confuse things...happens to me all the time. The messages are gone but the count hasn't updated yet.

(view all replies)im confused, i have never had a project get off of front page and then go back on. is that supposed to happen? because im loving it. DG WORLD is back on front page with more than 25 scratchers, 2 library books, fixed grammer(finally), and an age system. im planning on releasing a new minigame tommorow for it. im so happy. :D oh, and i emailed sony asking them on me developing for them and they sent me the links and phone number to contact them directly. :D
Yeah, I've been watching it! Very cool. As for the On/Off the page business, that could be a couple of things...the counts could be changing or the developers might be playing with the front page code. Congratulations on such a big hit :)
(view all replies)This is cool (albeit strange) to listen to! :) It's a little bit slow (not lag, the music) perhaps try to have multiple cahnnels runnign at once? and speed it up (or let the player decide how fast it should be)

Im working on a project called screator (Scratch Creator)... It is a project that will let you create things. sounds wierd, but it would be possible. It lets you create sprites, scripts, and tools that you could use... Do you think that would work?
Well give it a try then! The thing to do is identify the key pieces you need to accomplish your goals and test those out and see if Scratch can do them. Make a prototype in other words. Then, if it looks good - build it :)
Sounds pretty cool...I can't think how it would work exactly though. There are very limited import abilities in Scratch. How do you see it working?

Yeah...I find it makes pretty good "white noise" and can help me relax. I used your awesome instrument sampler project to pick out instruments that sound good online. Very helpful, thanks for sharing that :)

Thanks for the kind comment! I'm not ready to share the insomnia version of this project. It's really just this project with different instruments (I took out the more jarring one) and I think I removed the "0" note from the scale so there are no rests in the music :)

Interesting project. I wonder if I could remix this project so it plays the random tune along with a secondary tune in parallel motion. :)
Give it a try! So far the most interesting variation of this I've made is an insomnia treatment project...it plays intentionally soothing and boring music - lol! Works pretty well, actually.

On PC's if you hold down the Ctrl,Alt, and Delete keys all at the same time, it should bring up the Task Manager program which will let you kill processes. If you have a Mac, I don't know how you do it. Another thing you could try is just to shut the computer down and restart it.
