A roulette wheel for you to learn the evil dangers of gambling!
You start with $20. Click on the grid to place your bets, then click on the wheel to spin.
Every time you click on a grid area, you add one more "bet amount" to the wager on that number or combination of numbers. The yellow "coin" marker will only show one coin regardless of how high the wager. Something to work on, maybe.
The betting grid is somewhat simplified from a version I saw on Wikimedia Commons. I have not implemented corner bets (where you can bet on a block of four numbers) or the ability to bet on a row of numbers.

Thanks! I wanted it to act as close to a real wheel as I could make it...with the speed slowing down and the clicking sounds and so forth. I spent a lot of time on it - thanks for appreciating it :)

There is a trick! Just bet on red and black both and you'll never lose!
There is still a chance of losing...if it lands on Zero you will lose.
(view all replies)(j/k)wow, i beat the system, yay my gambling dad! but i figured it out using the chances of this and that! suppose you bet 10 on red, and 5 on odd number, the chances of you losing are slim, but its only PURE LUCK
There are some systems that can minimize your risk and keep you playing for a long time...but if you keep playing, you will lose eventually. I think :)

You could get loads of money if you were lucky. If you got 1000 and bet it all on one number, and it came out, it would give you 36000, :D. Then if you won with all 36000, you'd have 1296000. Next time you won you'd have almost 50 million.
Yes you could! But the chances of spinning 3 exact single number matches in a row are very, very, very small :). I think they would be 1 in 36^3 or 1:46656 which are pretty slim odds!

...and that's how the casino makes it's money! When a zero comes up, all bets go to the house. It's actually worse than I show it here...in Las Vegas, they have TWO house numbers 0 and 00. So there are 2 chances in 38 of losing all your money, not the 1 chance in 37 that I show here.

another good idea is to have a ball that goes round and round the wheel.
That would be cool...but maybe a lot more difficult.
Good presentation. After 5 Minutes and up to 65$, I was back to 20$. One idea for an addition: draw back, if you took a wrong field.
Good idea...probably the simplest would be a simple "Start round over" that would remove all your bets from the table for that play, rather than try to allow editing of each bet individually.

Thanks! Yes, it took some time...but not an enormous amount. The graphics are simple and the programming is not terribly complicated. Getting the wheel to spin the way I wanted it to took some time though :)
this is aweesome! Must've been hard to make! Also, I'm entering this scratch competition at school, and we have to make a maths related game... so I've started one, and I was just wondering if you could help me out with something on it... reply to this if you can! I was more concerned with having lots of annoying squirrels all making comments...selling them sounds like a good solution. There must be some market for a talking squirrel - you should be able to sell it for a lot :)
