Hi! Can you help me with making a project just like this... I mean its like exactly the same almost. Is it ok if i make a project just like this?? If it is can you help me?
Of course! You can make a project about pretty much anything you like (as long as it meets the Terms of Use). If you would like help, I'd be happy to do what I can. Feel free to remix this project if you want, sometimes it's easier to start from something that is close to what you are looking for.
Released version 1.3 today. Very minor change: when using the connected line fill, it only takes two points to start drawing instead of three like other pattern fills.
Released versions 1.2 today. New features: Patterns break when you pick a different fill. Also added a new "Rainbow" pen color option which will give you a spectrum of line colors.
I'm thinking of changing the program so that it automatically does a "Break" of the pattern when you choose a different fill style. Any comments for or against?
very creative and advanced, I like the idea. I was attempting the same idea, but came up with something a little different. If you would like to see it, go to my page and go to the "symmetrical triangle interactive art" project.
Released version 1.1 - Fixed the Grid fill bug and added a Snap grid of 20 pixels to make it easier to line things up. The Snap grid can be turned off using the Snap toggle button.
It is kind of addictive. I've written versions of this program on all kinds of computers over the years just because I enjoy playing with the patterns so much.
Download "String Art"(11 sprites and 37 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Creates various kinds of String Art (Designs all made with straight lines).
Controls - Clicking with the mouse adds new control points to the current design. When you have at least 3 points, the string art designs will fill in between your control points.
You can change the type of string art fill by clicking on the square graphic buttons at the bottom.
The other buttons are as follows: Break - Ends one pattern and allows you to start another. This also happens automatically when you pick a different fill type.
Bkgrnd - Change the background color to the same color as the current pen, only a little lighter shade.
Clear - Clears the screen of the current design without affecting the current pen color or line thickness or string art fill.
Snap - Toggles the snap grid.
Divisions - Sets the number of subdivisions between control points.

There's a known bug with the Grid fill. It creates a projected point - if that point is off the screen, weird stuff happens.
