i have maya 2008 3d animation maker WAY BETTER THAN BLENDER ! it is made 2 make shrek ice age and stuff like that it costs 1000 and something $ blender costs 1$ and 90 cents!
The easiest way is to simply unlock the sprite. There is a small padlock symbol that appears up near the top of the Scratch screen, just below the Share! button. Click on that and the sprite will be draggable in Presentation mode and Online.
Actually, there's a pretty good range of ages on Scratch. I saw some data at the Scratch Conference this summer. Mostly it's kids under 14 but there are a number of teens and some adults like me. Fun for all ages!
Custom made paths...could be done. I have a project that will generate a list-based smooth motion path from a set of points (it has a fancy interpolation calculation in it) but I'm not totally happy with the path it makes so I haven't shared it yet.
This is wonderful, I especially love how when you select another background it will finish off what it was suppose to do then start with the new selected background animation! 2 thumbs up
That's pretty funny that you like that "feature" the best...I considered it a bug that I was too lazy to fix! Glad you like it and thanks for the kind words.
You're right! It seems to be another Java bug...the project works correctly when downloaded. I will try and figure out just what is going wrong and tell the Scratch Team. Thanks for reporting it!
Download the 16 sprites and 95 scripts of "Headliner" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Ever wanted to see your name in lights? Type it in! Use the Erase All button to clear what is there first.
Very limited character set. Just A-Z and 0-9
plus the arrow keys as shown below:
Left Arrow - Backspace
Down Arrow - Period or Decimal Point
Up Arrow - Exclamation Point
Technical Notes
===========
The text is gathered in a list. A loop in the stage area makes a request for each letter to be displayed by one of the Letter Ferry sprites. The Letter Ferry sprites, if they see a request and aren't already moving a letter around, will "pick it up" and glide it across the screen.
The settings for each background are set up in the script area for the Start sprite, if you want to add more backgrounds.

One question, not about the project thought the project is great. Do you know how to program so you can drag things about by your mouse pointer?

This is a cool project! Can you add a space in it?
Yes, you just use the Space key.

Sorry, no I don't. One of my sons was playing it for awhile but now he's doing WOW. The only online game I play is Scratch!

(view all replies)I can just remember being 8. It was a good age to be...lots of new skills. Of course, I was 8 in 1966 - that was a long time ago!
(view all replies)This is very cool!

(view all replies)Thanks! I had fun making it. There's a lot more that could be done...imagine curved (list based) paths that the letters follow...
(view all replies)pretty cool . Interesting use for arrays. This could be used as a communication device.
love it a great project
wow, great! but kinda hard to write into something moving... LoveIt!
Yeah, it encourages fast typing!
(view all replies)very good!
Awesome!!!!!!! You are such an amazing Scratch programmer!! I'm not really that great.... XD
Thank you for your kind words. Everybody has strengths in different areas. The more you do it - the better you get, right?

Pretty Cool, Nice job.
um im taken a look at the first BG picture above the sign and i see somethin that aint right
R U talking about the picture of the dancers? They're wearing ballet costumes. A little scanty, I admit, but considered appropriate in most cultures.
(view all replies)TTHIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how long did it take to make?
Maybe 8 hours?
(view all replies)Awesome

Hehe more like one hundred thumbs up :)

(view all replies)paddle2see, plz make a list programming language for me (see list tutorial replies (lol))
theres a gitch prees a numer and you get a number lower by 1 an nine = .
Fixed! When you give Java a costume name that is a number, it uses the costume number, not the name. That's different than Scratch!
You're right! It seems to be another Java bug...the project works correctly when downloaded. I will try and figure out just what is going wrong and tell the Scratch Team. Thanks for reporting it!
Great job.I read the script !
colour blocks tester look at plz
i typed: kimmy123 the movie
Excellent, masterful I feel like Nureyev!
I love this! I love the option of typing things in. How long did it take you to make this?
Glad you like it! I didn't really keep track of how long it took...maybe 8 hours?
Nice! You're really busy with lists, puts the rest of us to shame.
I gotta play with the new toys!
WOW Amazing! I really like the typing part maybe add something that let's you not type when you don't need to like some sort of box you type in
Yeah, it's kind of awkward to type onto a moving sign!
thats so cool and i aggree with tanner_fbi
It says Scratch 3.1, I think it is Scratch 1.3?
Oops! My mistake...I'll correct it shortly. Thanks for pointing it out.
