True - I used that approach on my Scratch Moto Engine project. But on this one, I wanted to do it without color sensing so the wheels could be the same color. What else would you like added?
now that I think about it, this is actually really remarkable; no scratch projects I know of, not even mine, which is dedicated to rolling, rolls really well!
Great project, nice use of censors to create a rylistic climb to the vechile. I also like theway the buggy seems to have a 'suspension-ish' bounes to it and how the vibration isint tat bad but when you hit a bump it corects it's self quickly to the top. on a final note I quite like how the coins and meteors scroll, and doesint 'folow' the buggy.
P.S. Can u explane too me how you gt the 'infinte' scrolling, I already understand norm scrolling but can only make it go to how many backrounds i have
Thanks! The infinite scrolling...I assume you've taken a look at the scripts for this project? I use a local variable called X Current on each object. When the buggy moves, it changes it's X Current value. All the other objects are located relative to the buggy using an equation that "repeats" the object when it gets far from the buggy (it's the equation that uses the World Size variable). So, the object is repeated every World Size steps, on and on. I also had to fiddle with the background tiles, making them all the same height at the joined edges, to account for some lag and overlap of the tiles. It was a bit of a challenge!
Very good. The lunar buggy works well. The original 'egg lorry' didn't really go with the bouncyness, although it was funny. The lunar buggy fits well as you would expect it to be a bit bouncy. And the scrolling works very smoothly. The meteors are a great idea and add a bit more of a challange. Great game, well done. And thanks for mentioning me and my mountainbike project :D
I gave up on Scratch for a week and now feel bad. I'm going to look at your engine and find the answer to what I've been trying to solve for three months. Great job with the shocks!
It's funny you should mention the "shocks"...I was getting a lot of jitter between the two sensor parts of my vehicle and I really couldn't get rid of it so I thought, if I can't get rid of it, make it look like it belongs there - so I made the legs look like shock absorbing springs. Totally accidental feature.
This project is amazing! I LOVED IT and added it to my favorites! Also wanted to ask you to make another PRIVATEER, as that was an amazing game as well, and wanted to ask you to view my awesome platformer game, Nayr's Adventure, here: (link to project) ~ Thanks! NayrMP ~ : ) ~
That's another account that I use for sharing fixes to other peoples projects or partial projects for demonstration purposes and so on. This project grew out of a demonstration for 04lukeb on how to keep color sensing vehicles from going into the ground so I posted it on Paddle2SeeFixIt. Then, I decided to make my own project from the demo.

nah to complicated and about 10 scripts for one sprite, mine to be within 5

I'm thinking of using this in dirt biking madness (link to project) only problem is the CPU's will use more scripts slowing down the game
