Cheddargirl asked for a multi-player version of Pig - so here it is!
Click on the player to change between a human player and one of the Artificial Intelligences (AI-Cautious and AI-Bold).
The game of Pig is pretty simple. Roll as many times as you want in a turn...but if you get a "1" (a Pig) you lose your turn (and any points earned in that turn). Your goal is to get to 100 points first. So roll away...then click on Hold when you are ready to let the next player play. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_%28dice%29
The graph that starts in the lower left corner shows the occurance of Pig rolls (red line) compared to the expected average of one sixth of a Pig every roll (black line). You can use the graph to try and decide if you should continue rolling if you want to :)
The awesome music is from Newgrounds and is shared with a Creative Commons Noncommercial Share-alike license. It is called "The Beat of Life". It was written by Caleb Cuzner (Nijg) and is available here

Not quite...Cautious doesn't try for as large a number of points as Bold does before passing control back to you.

Jeez, Scratch started out as a fun dream for kids who wanted to be programmers by the awesome people at MIT(my mom went there for college! :D),but now it's turned into a site that people hunger for popularity and think that not-so-good project are a waste of time. :( Why do people always turn everything into a competition?
I'm sure the Scratch Team members looking at comment flags will figure it out. Sorry that people are being rude to you :/

I thought Pig was a card game where you had to try to get four cards the same number and the first person who did that stuck out their tongue and if you saw someone sticking out their tongue you had to stick out your tongue too and the last person who sticks out their tongue loses.
Must be a different card game called Pig! Sounds like fun though. Making that game in Scratch would be interesting...

It's pretty aggressive...but it does stop if it gets enough points. Unless it's too far behind, in which case it puts it all on the line and just rolls for a win!

(view all replies)hey i have a question, we get notified when someone leaves a comment on or projects or galleries or when someoneone replies to us (well, most scratchers do) but how come we don't get notified when someone replies to us in the forums?
Well, we used to have that feature turned on (the forums software is a separate package from the rest of the website) but it kept breaking the server - so it was turned off. Kind of a pain but there you go.
(view all replies)Fantastic Multi-Version.I like the possibility to organise fast "automatic" match (10 games) with only AI-Engine vs AI-Engine.I organised two matchs :AI-Bold vs AI-Cautious score 8-2 and AI-Bold vs AI-Darevil 3-7 .The scratcher milkkshake maked a great AI-engine I like his remix :)
Thanks! Yes, it is fun to explore different AI "personalities" and see what seems to work the best. You would probably have to do a lot more than 10 before you could say with certainty that one is better than the other though :)

Hi Paddle2See, recently I made the suggestion of having a (link to suggestions) whenever a link to Scratch suggestions is put in a comment, description, etc. It has been deleted with no notice or anything.
