Very clever. Very usfull! My names Elliott, Elliott E. If you like you can have a look at my website www.EGEmedia.co.uk
Please tell me how you did this, I have been trying for ages and I can't do it!
Figuring out the equation for interpreting the mouse position is always the challenge with this kind of project. It usually takes me a fair amount of trial and error to get them right. It's great that you're going to share your experience on the Forum!
Chalkmarrow: that sounds like a good idea, though I did already implement that into the coding, I could make keys that backspace and [space]. Also: it wasn't too hard to make this project: I analyzed you katakana keyboard and improvised. Finding the correct way to do the letter determination was the difficult part, though I did find a way to do it right.
Plus: This was intended to be as compact as possible. Making it so you can type on the keyboard would make the script too long and it would slow down too much.
*sigh* the purpose of this project was not to make it so you can type on the keyboard. This was an experiment to see if I could make it work. It was hard enough finding the correct equation to make this work as best as I could make it.
I saw chalkmarrow's excellent "katakana keyboard v. 1.1", and I wanted to make my own but with English characters. This clickable keyboard has only one sprite and one script. Coding is not the best but this is my first attempt at a one sprite project. The keyboard works very well, as long as you keep the mouse centered near the letter you want to click.

Very clean, I like it! That's a novel way of doing the erase, using the pen like that...works well.

Nicely done, especially since you only spend an hour on it. I think if you added a backspace and [space] key it would be even more useful.

Well in real life you can have your fingers too far and you hit the wrong key :)

This is cool! ^_^ It works fine for me, if I click on the far left side of the key. If I click in the middle, it prints the next letter.

It's good but you can make it so that you can type on it with the keyboard while still having one script.

This project was made to see if I could do these sorts of projects. This doesn't require a lot of sprites, only the correct code.
