This is so grear, it should be more than a Scratch game with 843 (and counting) hits. It should be a Scratch game with 843 hits, a Wii video game, an upcoming Wii U video game, a 3DS video game, and it should've made over $1,000,000 dollars in FIVE MINUTES.
Wow, scratch broke on me and this wasn't in my favourites box. Forgot to comment last time I played though, here's exactly what I would have said: Too awesome for words. Although the music at the beginning really put a dent in my ear but it offered a great playthrough.
no, it just takes time. Get close to him, just out of arm's reach. When he points his hand at you, drop down quickly to avoid the shadow blast. Also, check the floor occasionally for lava. If you see it building up, rush immediately to the left side of the screen. When the lava subsides, rush back to just out of his reach again. Oh, and be sure to tap Space the whole time!
Camus, and yes, it's impossible if you aren't patient and only attack him while he's talking. I wanted to put a sense of fear in the player when Camus appeared.
Wow!!! This is AMAZING!!! How did you do this artwork!!! I even favorited this!!! The only thing I can tell you to do to improve you game is to use voices, instead of speach bubbles. But that would make the game really big. Then it might have lag. Your artwork is great, and the graphics are epic! I would give the 5 stars (5/5)!
Haha I see. So clarify your astonishment. What are you favorite and least favorite parts of the game? I need this type of feedback for the development of the sequel.
My advice is to only attack when he's talking, no more than 3 times. And if you see him lunge at you immediately jump and hold right or left. Try to stay as far away from him as possible if he isn't talking.
How did you get a scratch project on your own website? Is sigining in to the website(Nites productions) free, safe and you don't need to give out personal information? By the way cool!!!! project. Also which site did you use to create the website?
Yes signing into NP is just as safe as signing into your site, since they both go through Webs ID. As for your fist question, check out a guide I wrote on the subject: http://www.nitezproductions.com/apps/forums/topics/show/2834970-how-to-turn-scratch-projects-into-webs-videos
it's alright, and i've seen the platform programming many times before, and it's certainly not the most advanced or smoothest. I haven't quite reached the end yet. the dialogue takes too long, you should add a button to operate it. the saving, i think, should be automated by using variables for recording. The fighting is too simple, since there is one type of enemy with no dynamic flooring. many glaring flaws, but still far above the average scratcher.
You make a valid point. The dialogue does take too long, and in the sequel, it will be easier to skip. The fighting will be more dynamic, but the platforming will stay the way it is, as I like it that way. As for the saving, you seem to forger the fact that once someone leaves the page and returns, the variables will reset. Using passwords eliminates that problem.
Hey Slinger, if you're interested in playing "The Revenant II" follow me on Twitter. I usually post about the aspects of production, and give release dates from there. @NitezTweet
This is good, but I don't see how the cutscenes are shorter than mine. I had to wait perhaps longer than any of my cutscenes for the first one of yours to end. Also, I wouldn't say it is superior graphics quality like you told me because this has a white background and a basic shade grey ground. The sprites are not too appealing as they are not 3D and there is no other angle provided in each cutscene. Thanks for letting me know about it though.

-THE REVENANT-
Visit 16th century France as you take control of Xanadu Laroche, Captain of the King's guard. This RPG uses perhaps the most advanced scrolling engine on Scratch, designed solely to eliminate lag. The controls are condensed to the Arrow Keys and Space, but it should be enough to navigate Xanadu's world. With a password engine, raching the thrilling conclusion should be no problem for even the most novice player. Follow his story as he goes from a guardian of the king, to the guardian of Earth!
Be sure to click Love-It! my goal is to reach top-loved with this project!

(view all replies)THIS. IS. PRO. Very nice plot and graphics, though the platform detection is very basic. The cutscenes could be sped up too.

Super Mario Kart FTW
At least modern nintendo... first the Wii and now the 3DS? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM!?
(view all replies)This is simply AWESOME.
Hey Nitez, could you check out my projects to see if you like them? Sorry to spam on your project.
Haha, at least you asked nicely.

it would be too easy in this game, but I could implement it in the sequel if you think it would be a good addition.
OMG BROTHERHOOD MUSIC AT THE START
Nice catch ;)

Very Assassin Creed era similar graphics to the 2d versions
Thanks man, I'm an AC fan, so it may have rubbed off on this game I guess.
(view all replies)The demon boss level is so hard to beat! (18828 so I don't lose it) The rest is really cool and well thought out though :)

How do you beat the final boss! It's litirally impossible!
no, it just takes time. Get close to him, just out of arm's reach. When he points his hand at you, drop down quickly to avoid the shadow blast. Also, check the floor occasionally for lava. This is true, I didn't think about downloaders; I try to make my games fully functional online however, so downloading isn't necessary.

you're absolutely right, the first level isn't a good example, try this code: "15308". It's a much better example, and thanks for the visit!
(view all replies)non of your sprites are 3d
(view all replies)500th view.
Awesome :D
This is the best story/RPG/game I have ever played, in my eyes, no matter how short, it's alot better than Halo or COD.
I've replied to your comment on NitezProductions.com, thanks.
final battle is SO HARD!!!

Wow, its faster in Java than in Flash. FAIL
It has it's perks, but I like Java more.

This has a great storyline and art, but you should improve the movement engine and battle.
