Neat! You may not realize it, but what you are generating is called a Voronoi diagram (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voronoi_diagram) in a very clever way . A Voronoi diagram for a set of points (in this case, your circle centers) is a group of regions where each region is where it is closest to a given point. The Voronoi diagram is widely studied in mathematics and has many intersting properties. One is that every region is a convex polygon, which is why you see the straight lines.
This is beautiful. It's a nice example of a simple procedure producing complex results. I guess I'm rusty enough in my geometry that it seems counterintuitive that you can get straight lines by drawing only circles. Have you tried shrinking them at different rates? That might produce some cool effects.
Thanks for the comment. This is hard in Scratch, so I tried shrinking the 10 different sprites at different rates. The results were unusual. The crystals had curved edges? So it king of defented the object, they didn't look like crystals.

I agree with jdog33. I mean like what are you supposed to do anyways?
Just watch the crystals form :). Its very peaceful and calming.
what is the point? what are you supposed to do!
its not a game
(view all replies)very cool. I like how they say "Finished" at the end. =^.^=

weird...but in a good way. i love it. its th colors that make it good
...Wow!
How do you do that? It's amazing!
This is awesome.
Very cool project :)
cool I couldn't do any thing close to that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool!
This is beautiful! And very clever. ^^
Perfect...
wouldn't expect more from you! this looks too awesome!
thats cute lol nice colors 2
LUV IT!
You don't have to put a "stop script" at the end of every script, unless it's in a repeat and you want to stop it.
Hi Scratchie, sorry about the long response time. Does leaving the 'Stop Script' off make it faster? Otherwise I just like to be tidy.
Woh! I've seen a lot of cool projects, but this is one of the coolEST!
woah! beautiful! u go in my gallery!
awesome!
nice! that is strange, circles making straight lines...
