when i plan things, there's no suprise when your'e making it. there's nothing new and exiting. worse, you can't add in anything else when you're done without changing the whole thing. i mean, obviously i do SOME planning, but when it comes down to it, that's just the outline. the rest is pure randome imagination, and in MY opinion, there's nothing better. takes less time, too.
Well, whe nyou plan, you make an outline and oyu definately leave room for expansion and change. When you get to programming more complex games, good planning always helps.
PLANING for a GAME?! you must have a lot of trouble then! i just come up with some silly idea and make a game out of it! it's an unlimited supply! and the best part of it is that you can make it up as you go! just let your imagination loose!
hey, when was the last time you made a game? you should do that. i bet if you made a game and really put some work into it, you would be on the front page for months.
Dang, thats good. Do you think you could make me one? sorry if this seems a little, you know, weird. Just a random scratcher asking for a logo...thats me!
I was wondering, if you made a animation (like for example my smash world episodes) in blender could you turn it into a animation in scratch?Cause it would be nice to have 3-d SW episodes.
eh, okay 1 minute is far to long. at 30 frames per second, that's 1800 frames...there's no way scratch can handle that. Instead, try using different sprites in scatch, and also use scratch to do animations (love moving from one end of the screen to the other) as much as possible. The fewer large images you use, the better.
Yes you can, but you have to be careful about memory usage. (the space the images take up) A raw Blender-to-animation probably wouldn't work too well with scratch unless you only had a couple seconds of video.
I've been mulling over some interesting ideas for a more surruptitious(stealthy) security robot. It wouldn't actually try to do anything to scare the intruder off though...
OH NOES! balls aren't very scary, but it gets the point accross. You shold have it keep track of the "time." one second (or perhaps every 4th 8th 16th etc. of a second) it increases a time variable, and then it an record what the variable was at when it detected an intruder. Then if you remember when you first turned the robot on, you can scale your variable to seconds and then figure who did what and when.
u seem to do a lot of logos for people... if you could, could you do a logo for me? 2 let u know, i am a cat. that's why my name is im a cat! XP people get it wrong sometimes.

define "good planning"
ah yes.....*I'm too tired right now, I come back and think about it later*

(not saying your games are bad) but planning will help it be much better
not really. Planning is the best way to make a GOOD game.

thanks! eh, that's the problem right there...time. I'm contemplating doing one, I'll just have to do some in depth planning.
cool, but it could be a tad longer. more impressive explosions. a "poof" isn't too interesting.
I would have liked to make it longer...but scratch is so limited in memory adn these logos are SUPPOSED to be small...eh...:/

that's okay. I take logo requests...well I used to :/ lately I've been extreamly cunched for time...can you wait several days?
(view all replies)Did you use particle systems for the explosion? if that's the case how? I haven't figured it out yet :)
for this one, tes, I used particles systems.
Can I Have One With A Computer?
hmmm, what about a laptop opens and then your name appears on the sreen?

yay! will check out.
can you make me a logo?
sure, it might be a very long time though, my request queu is pileing up.
Wow! I lovus it! Thanks so much! I've got a few explosions that would go well with it...
your welcome.
Nice!
thanks! I like how the text appears to seemlessly form from the explosions.
