very nice job
You need to put your example a little higer than the sliders so it does not go under them. Also when it moves to the left it does not come bak
(link to project) Its me monkeypiefairy. I've been trying to get my new user going, would you mine taking a look at this and my other projects? Thanks.
I'm horrible at math but because I flunked a test And got everything right (My worst score was 97) I'm getting thrown into advanced math. Anyway. I've been wondering (I Hope this doesn't fly over my head) Whats trigonometry?
acctually, you can make a [move 10 steps] block with trig. Just attach these two blocks together: [change x by (sin of (direction))] and [change y by (cos of (direction))]. also, its cosine not cosin
Do you, by any chance, have an Instructables account?
http://www.instructables.com/
Learn anything there. I have one, I'm known as "YummyPancakes". You can also compete in contests and win AWESOME stuff, like a personal robot or a laser cutter. Everything's in step-by-step format, like this is.
PS: I'm a bit of a NXT geek myself :P
I do. I was addicted to that for months on end. It is the only site where u can learn to make a taser glove, and how to blow stuff up with only a lemon.....
:) The only anxt(I can't spell to save my life) i have about the nxt is that the programming language that comes with it can't handle floating point(decimal) numbers. That can be fixed by using LEjos(java)
<a href= > and </a> declare the whole thing. The url allows for the link back. The .png is the image, the height and width are the same as the java applet above, and the fact that it is a 'scratch project' allows it to be run.
Small bit of HTML help. The code for an embedded Scratch project (in this case this one) is <a href='(link to project)'><img src='http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/NXTGeek/216865_med.png' width='425' height='319' alt='Scratch Project'></a>
What this does is, it provides a link back to the site, provides a picture of the project, sets height and width, and declares it to be a Scratch project. Let me break it down.
Download the 2 sprites and 9 scripts of "trigonometry" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
A trigonometry turorial. Use the arrow keys and the sliders to controll the example. View the text first then the example. The example is one sprite :)

This is pretty helpful.try adding in more applications and explaining what exactly cosine and sine are(E.G.cosine=Y/hypotunuse.)
k. thanks. I'm gonna remake the eventually. Your input was very helpful!

(view all replies)ah, okay.
Lenny Bruce Movie?
(view all replies)but those days have passed. (I ahve a feeling that this conversation will go on untill kingdome come)
(view all replies)ah, but we must first define "peace" and "love" and their propor places.
(view all replies)did you know that 5^n=(x*10)+5 ? I made it myself. I was wondering if you could make a tutorial for proofs?
you have two variable in that equations...it would prove interesting to solve...
uh...maybe sometime in the future? :) I'll try but it may be a very very very long while.
and I have made a claw thing...
lol, k :D
with trig? cool! (imperion online is online!!! :D)
(view all replies)cool robot
thanks :)
actually, it's spelled hypoteneuse
lol, I wasnt really paying attention to spelling. :)
(view all replies)lol, I couoldn't tell, im not that good at spelling and have a bad habit of not paying attention and reading my posts before I post! lol :D
(view all replies)you can also think of the hypotonuse as the distance.
yup :D
ummm..... okay.
Did this help any?
Are you good at gamemaker?
i guess you could say that.....
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=9c52852e50554d84d2db6fb9a8902bda there is my RTS...srry...the other file upload service is having problems.
Come to my account.i NEED TIPS ON HOW TO START A game.Y dont u make one?
okay...
http://www.yoyogames.com/members/keroro645
:) that would explain why I couldn't find any.
how do I find what games you have made?
(view all replies)whats your gamemaker account?Make link
I dont have one :) do you?
(view all replies)what's age of the future?
was it a .exe? or a zipped file?
okay..it is still very early in development. dnt worry it is virus free.
(view all replies)an RTS I am making with gamemaker7...it is coming along fairly well.
(view all replies)nice site!
thanks:)

I figured it was you by the name on the message:)
shure :)

*unknown
trig functions can be used to find the inknown.
(view all replies)yes i knew that but i didnt think of it at the time.
think TRI-angle. TRIginometry. I m not entirely shure what it is but it mainly deals with triangles.
(view all replies)sorry, its [change x by (10 * (sin of (direction)))] and [change y by (10 * (cos of (direction)))].
yea i know
you could replace 10 w/ the variable "speed" :)
acctually, you can make a [move 10 steps] block with trig. Just attach these two blocks together: [change x by (sin of (direction))] and [change y by (cos of (direction))]. also, its cosine not cosin
I know :) Iv done that before...i used it in my scrolling snowboard game.
I ♥the example's movement.
thank you
(view all replies)This helps me alot to understand trigonometry!!!!!=)
good :)
algebra and geometry is all this is too bad i only know basic algebra
its not that hard to understand. did you catch how to make the scripts? if you memorize how to make them and use them it will greatly help.
To answer your question: I have no idea, I have been trying to figure that out for ages myself.
i bet you could if you had a sesoned programmer tell you. or you could b/c good @ it urslef.

sweet! this was VERY helpfull. i enjoyed it very much. very complex...i hope someday i'll understand it...2 many hard 2 remember turms...
thx....if you memorize the arrangement of scrtch blocks it's not that hard.
(view all replies)<a href= > and </a> declare the whole thing. The url allows for the link back. The .png is the image, the height and width are the same as the java applet above, and the fact that it is a 'scratch project' allows it to be run.
thx 4 info..could you trick it into running your own .exe file?
Ignore the link, that was the url

it isnt working...
check ur messages in freewebs cyclone...lol
Taht is a pretty good demo!
did you click the example button?
(view all replies)thx.
tell me what i can improve on.
