This is Shadowstar (left) and Frostbite (right), cuddling together. I don't know why but I love this pairing so much! ^^

I've just noticed that the focus center is is the dead middle of the image. Oh how wonderful. -_-"

Thank you so much Toasty! On average, it takes several days, about 8 hours of work. I suck at writing tutorials, but I can probably post a footage of how I made this... ^^ My experience with Paint.NET is mostly a result of experimenting. :)

again, good lines, I like the lighting effect that you used. The very end of Frostbite's tail is a bit to light. But other than that, it looks great! :)
(view all replies)I don't like to use programs or "leave" anything for the program to do such as shading/lighting. I believe art gives you more freedom that 3d because creates a sort of "dead" effect. I don't think you can express yourself through 3d, because it doesn't have style. Art has a lot more spirit in it than 3d. :)

I like your sprites. I've never doen pixel art before, I can't help you. I think you should work on your animations a bit more, if you look at the walking sprite, the legs aren't moving as they should.
