That's a good way to pronounce it, but it's somewhat unnatural, because it seems to involve stretching your lips. For good relaxed pronunciation, it is best to reduce lip movement to a minimum. When I pronounce vowels my lips barely change position.
(view all replies)Mmmmm well I think you'll get used to it eventually. xD I understand why you might be having problems with that, because it is true that the default position of the insides of your mouth is very different when speaking Russian than it is for English, if you get my meaning there. xD A majority of English sounds are formed near the back of your tongue, while Russian sounds seem to be more centered around the front part and teeth. They use different regions of the mouth, in a way. xD
