Download the 30 sprites and 113 scripts of "Letter Zap!" and open it in Scratch Project Notes
Just start it up and press the letter on your keyboard. You get 1 point when you zap a letter. You lose a point if you press a letter that isn't on the screen. You lose two points if the letter hits the bottom before you can zap it. The letters fall more frequently as you progress.
Press 1, 2, or 3 to change the level. Level 3 is pretty much impossible to keep a positive score once it hits the maximum letter fall rate.
You can use this game to help you learn proper hand positions on your keyboard - left hand fingers on "ASDF" and right hand fingers on "JKL;". Leave your hands in that position as you press the letters.

I don't know why the Q would show up more often - the letter comes from the Scratch random number generator. It would be possible to change it so that letters used more frequently in the language itself (E, S, T, etc...) would show up more often.

ummm... the hand position for the left hand is "jkl;", okay?
The rest of the alphabet has been added. I also added 3 difficulty levels. The game starts at 2. Just press 1, 2 or 3 to change difficult levels. Level 3 is pretty much impossible once the letters start appearing at their maximum rate!
This game is awesome!
When I (or someone) gets around to adding the rest of the alphabet, I suspect it'll be harder to maintain a positive score. There's might also be some tweaking needed in the randomizer - to prevent it from putting out the same letter within, say, X number of seconds. I can also speed up how fast the letters fall, making it pretty much impossible to hit every letter :-). I'll call that version "Defeat Greatness" :-)
