When ever i slash an enemy it makes me lose health, i use to have the same problem with RPGs. The thing to do is make a variable attacking. Then you make it whenever you slash set attacking to 1 and when your done set it to 0. Then make it that you can only get hurt if attacking equals 0. I hope that wasn't confusing...
