I believe somebody already has - search for "Ragdoll". I keep meaning to develop this further, perhaps to put in additional limits to motion, but it is a little daunting to try to figure out how he movement woud go if, (eg) the other end of the arm was subject to gravity...
This is fun! I like to try "backing up" as if this was a "tractor trailer". It could be turned into a nice demo of how to back a trailer up by removing one joint and changing the sprites. Just 4 sprites/4 scripts too, very compact code...
i can't borrow it because i don't have 1.2.1,pretty sure that's y it says obslete on the blocks, but i was thinking maybe a ragdoll game(i have a patent on this idea there fore any one who looks at this comment that makes a ragdoll game like i said,my patent lets me get credit for the idea!)oh yeah!
My first project usign the new sensing and trig blocks.
The red circle follows the mouuse, the rest follows on like an articulated arm.
Might be intersting to somehow fix the end of the black shape so that rather than the whole thing moving, the whole arm is fixed to a point but can freely articulate around it.
If you find the simple code useful, feel free to borrow it.

wow, clever. Do you think it would be possible to make a 'ragdoll' in scratch (where the limbs move according to the laws of physics)

I never made a project about making sprites big, but I posted a comment about it on Jens's "Big" project: (link to project)
