This started from Yakker's Building Blocks (in itself descended from Jay's Gravity blocks) but in the end I pretty much rewrote everything. Drop kg masses onto the scales, which add up the total.

The hard part is to get the blocks to add up even when they are stacked up, not resting on the scales.

that's a brilliant and original idea, well done! I especially like the way that this is actually a calculator for additions and substractions. One of the best projects I've seen lately!
