Because this does not use dynamically created views, increasing the maze size is more work than I am interested in doing, now. I have moved on to other projects. For a more complex map, try the single player "3D dungeon adventure". (link to project)
That way the player on the flat side can easily sneak up on his opponent because he's, well, flat. In this case, the player that has NOT flattened his screen can only see his opponent from certain views. But don't forget to limit how long you can make a screen flat!
Ah! I have an idea for people! Go to crazy monkey games after downloading Hypercam 2.0 (search the web for it) and take a movie of the game Boxhead: the rooms. After you make the movie, use Windows Movie Maker to take a picture of the boxhead dude 4 times, once for every direction he points. Pretend the gun he holds is a club.
I can't help you if it's person figures you want, but if your okay with simple looking hammer robots, you can look up my project Hammer Mechs and download it to get the sprites. The views are all diferent costumes. Blue is meant for player 2. Red is meant for player 1
I'm not going to turn it into crush, but if you want to submit some new sprites for the warriors, that would be great. They need Front, Back and Side views.
I think it would be cool if you made a game kind of like this one, but also like that new PSP game, Crush. Make the same game over again, but try making this change: make it so that by pressing a certain key, you can make the arena turn from 3D to 2D and from 2D to 3D to get to places you otherwise could not reach.
Scratchmasta - rather than download this, download "3D maze Explorer" which is a single player maze exploration (not a game). It has a major advantage. This game uses views drawn by hand, so for every viable location in the maze I had to draw 4 different views manually. Hence the relatively small size! Changing the map would require drawing lots of new views. **************************************************** Conversely, 3D Maze Explorer works differently, and builds the view up from sprites based on what it detects on the map - which means the maze can be altered at any time without having to change the views, as they automatically accomodate any changes to the map. So download 3d maze Explorer instead: (link to project)
Updated so the player is now hidden.
I should add a randomly generated "treasure" in the maze, so that the players have an incentive to move around. Otherwise one might just sit still all the time.
A 2 player 3D maze - see if you can sneak up behind the other player and press space to whack them for a point - you can only whack somebody from behind (so both players can use the space bar).
****
I have now hidden the players on the map, except when they are right next to each other.
It is possible for the players to end up on the same square and get stuck, if both move onto the same square at the same time. They can get unstuck by ensuring one is facing north/south and the other is facing east/west.

I liked this game a lot. I just think if it had a longer maze it would be more interesting.Another thing you could do is to make stairs.

And by the way. Mayhem, if you need somebody to make better looking sprites for the warriors, i could probably help.
