I did consider a smooth transition, but it wasn't really the effect I was looking for. On reconsideration though, I used a smooth transition for other parts, so it might be a possible addition. The graphics were made initially in a simple ms paint-like program then retouched in GIMP - a gnu image manipulation program.

Project Notes
My first project in Scratch! Press Up and Down to change the colour of the catcher to match the colour of the falling ballz. Use the left and right buttons to move the catcher left and right. If you miss a ball you lose a life, simple.
All graphics, sounds and coding are completely original.

i love the graphics. what did you make them with? i do think that the balls should slide down rather than jump down though
