Scientists try to get cures for all serious illnesses. It's not as easy as it looks, and it takes YEARS and YEARS of work to develop a cure. They don't need a petition to start to work on it, as they most likely already started. They know how you, and other people with Crohn's disease suffer and they want to help you. It's not as easy as it seems...

yes, it is very sad, but then again, there are many abhorrent and grevious things in a fallent world...anyways, another good way to raise awarnesss is to use mouth to mouth communication. tell your friends family...try starting a website(or have someone start it for you) about the disease and what it does how many people it effects hwo there is no cure..etc etc. I hope this helps. side note: medicle research is very expensive and time consuming...lets someone is willing to spend that time and

crohns isn't too highly publicised so it probably won't get as much research as say...cancer. (though the word "cancer" is extreamly generic)
no I don't have crohns, but I do have other intestinal distress. MUCH more mild, and not the same kind. (no hospital visits)
(view all replies)yes it is sad, but I have a feeling you get used to it. I have some health conditions, not nearly as severe, but people think "that must be awful" but you get used to it. Mine isn't excruciatingly painful though. Masked most likely by no means enjoys it, but I think she has gotten used to it. A cure should be found though…but that’s like saying, we need a cure for cancer…it will take time.

u can write to ur local congressman (or woman) asking that more money from taxes is used for finding cures for chronic dieses (like chrons or diebetes)

and I think that the color of crohn's and colitis is orange kind of like how breast cancer is pink and stuff... so if anyone does walk, they should wear orange...
