oh fullmoon told me any videos that look like Youtube you see on Scratch are taken using desktop video capture software (that lets you take videos of your desktop, as if you were recording your monitor with a camera). The videos are generally converted to animated GIF images in software like Flash from Adobe, then dragged into Scratch. Each frame becomes a costume. I don't know of any screen capture program that lets you export as GIFs, so the short answer is, no, there is no way to get youtube videos into Scratch without expensive software and lots of patience. If you still want to try, download screen-capture software like CamStudio, which is the free alternative to the more popular HyperCam. Then, you can e-mail me the video using this address. I'll put it into Flash and export it as images you can use for your project. Be warned, however, that lots of costumes generally equals large load times
