A quick start to programming a Lego NXT Sumo Robot simulation. (Competition notes here: http://mindstorms.lego.com/nxtlog/projectlist.aspx?tag=nxtsumo)
The Scratch graphical programming environment is similar to NXT-G. We may be able to work out some programming blocks for robot control without the robots.
Script 1: Press space bar.
SumoMan draws a red circle.
Script2: Press the green flag
1. SumoMan starts in the center of the circle.
2. He starts drawing a blue line.
3. Repeat forever
Travel forward until the red line is touched.
Then turn around (but not completely)
moves 20 steps
Back to step 3
More ideas to try:
Different travel pattern?
Another sumo to push him out of the ring?
