Pretty fun to use. I even made my own game out of it. Have one person control the ball, and the other person try to get the ball stuck in the ground. (Or at least stuck in a cage)
The area of all of the blocks are stored in a list, as an array. So if blank is 1, and a block is 2, in the first 15 numbers of the list, it would all be ones, because there are no blocks on the top. And it repeats. For the ball, it checks if the block to the right/left/down/up of it is a block, and if so, it will not let you go in that direction, because its blocked. The complicated part, is the formulas really.
What really amazes me is the movement. I've been trying to make something that "feels" good, but it's complicated and you have to take into account momentum as well as walls.
Yeah, there is one main glitch that if you put a block in front of the ball, it goes in wierd directions, but I'm too lazy to fix that. The only way to fix that really, would be to have it not allow you to click it near the block is.
Oh, and if you make walls appear in the space you are in, you go to the side and down. Fine, but what if you don't stop as there is no empty space to enter?
I said something like 'What wait block glitch? If your talking about it in the animation, I purposely made it that way - if I didn't the framerate would go too fast - If you were talking about something else can you describe it?
Was previously on Scratch Design Studio on Frontpage.
With the new fad of 1-sprite 1-script projects, I decided to make my Level-Player Creator into one. This was a little difficult yet east, so I hope you enjoy! In this project you can create your own level by click on the area you want to change to and if its currently air, then it will become ground, and if its currently ground, it will become air. Of course at the same time, it starts with a custom stage, and it doesn't use any sensor blocks (a.k.a. touching color blank and such). Instead it looks if the array section below the ball is ground, and if so it will stop. It also senses in all 4 directions. It works pretty much nearly perfect!

Oh cool!
i like this game but i think that if you would of put more stuff in it it would be awesome
Well its a basic engine that you can basically build off of and use for games really. Not a game, so you can't expect a ton.
cool
whoa, how you make then solid?!

whooooooo! Awsome! :)
Hey Tolya, what the bloody hell are you on about?
Love it! Yeah! Yo!
What really amazes me is the movement. I've been trying to make something that "feels" good, but it's complicated and you have to take into account momentum as well as walls.
Generally you need experience from other games, an idea of the lag, and just general experimentation. Thanks though!
AMAZING!!!
this is amazing
how can it possibly be one sprite, and one script... with the ball there...
Stamping. And using lists to sense. Its complicated. I know what you mean though ;)
sweet, and i thought i was good at scratch
how do you make these games??
Well with practice scratching (2+ years actually in my case), you start to understand this stuff. All with time.
(view all replies)This is amazing. And I love how you can make you own levels. Most of the time, you have to download to do that.
SURROUND THE BALL WITH BLOCKS THEN CLICK NEXT TO THE BALL AND HE FALLS OF DA SCREEN!!!!!!!!! IT S FUNNY
Yeah. Not much I can do about, that I'm not lazy enough to do.
Fits in my one script gallery. I added it, is that ok?
Yup.
(view all replies)жаль что только воздух и земля есть, вот-бы ещё вода и другие поверхности были((
wat?
cool!
aghhhh complicated!
Why didn't you gave just very little credit? =(
Idk. I do say you were a bit of a help. :)
(view all replies)ㅎㅎ
Dude, surround the ball with bricks and then cover the blaa with em', its funny.
Can you actually customize the levels?
Well theres only 1 level. But this is mainly just an engine. So not much else to say -
Yes, by clicking on the area you want to change.
(view all replies)Amazing! i love it! i like how it works so well
Thanks! This idea though was originally to help archmage, kinda wierd eh?
Dis iz a FANTASTIC game, although I found a glitch. If you jump and then continually put bricks around the ball, it leaves the stage.
lov it
Nice! Flawless programming, and a level editor to boot!
cool!!!!!! i found a glitch.

sweet
Yup :P. Another project I'm actually working on is a 1-sprite 1-script pathfinder, basically translated from the A* method.
sick
Thats just the kind of games I like to make :P
this is cool
cool
Great, but one problem. When you jump to get to a platform with walls above it, and it's only a bit higher, it's impossible to get to it by jumping.
Oh, and if you make walls appear in the space you are in, you go to the side and down. Fine, but what if you don't stop as there is no empty space to enter?
(view all replies)AWESOME!
i need help on sensing srry the games not about it lol
go to my gallery called ask kortneal and i'll see what i can do i'd like to think i'm good at scratch
hey, i need some help for a game im making on sensing, can u provide tips? i cant get it to download
You deleted your 1 sprite 1 script test before I could read the reply. Can you tell me what it said?
I said something like 'What wait block glitch? If your talking about it in the animation, I purposely made it that way - if I didn't the framerate would go too fast - If you were talking about something else can you describe it?
Great project! I can't help but think I've seen that ball sprite somewhere else lol
lol :)
Nice job.
Thanks?
cool :) , just one glitch. If you change the level where the ball is, the ball goes of the screen
Though theres nothing much I can do really about that :| I'm glad you like the project anyway though :)
Very nicely done! Good job!:) And it doesn't lag very much!
Thanks!
