Remix this project and add your own drawing to illustrate the story! I'll choose a few of my favorite drawings to add back to the original.
There are 10 pages in this storybook that need illustrations (or animations) that fit with the text shown at the bottom of each page. I'Âll give some suggestions below, but feel free to use your own ideas. The next time we see a Scratcher get scared about Kaj, members of the Scratch Team will link them to this project or one of its remixes, to explain about Kaj.

Suggestions for illustrations (feel free to make up your own, but here are a few ideas to get your started).

Please don't report things to me in comments. Instead, please click the link that says "flag as inappropriate" on any comments that are mean, or break the Scratch community guidelines.

So Kaj threatened to hack but never did? Just posted mean stuff? Then Kaj's not a hacker, just a hater? There are a lot of haters going around telling people they copy youtube for things that anyone could come up with, which I fond annoying. I mean, some people leave Scratch because of all the haters. Me personally, haters don't faze me. I just say, "Oh, I'm so scared. your going to POST on my project!" Then I eat some cake. (Mmmh, I love cake)
That can be ok too, if you can do it in way that cools things down, and doesn't create more conflict. But flagging is best, because if a mean comment gets flagged, we check out their other recent comments and clean them up as necessary.
(view all replies)It is delicious! Yeah, Kaj was just a hater - their story turned into a legend, kind of like a Scratch myth. The hater thing is really a problem though, because new Scratchers can be sensitive to that kind of thing. Would you mind helping flag any disrespectful comments you see? We don't usually block haters on the first bad comment, but if it keeps up after a warning or two, they gotta go.

Yep Kaj was first included as an easter egg (Spritemaster was also in the Paper Mario where Kaj was introduced), but Thesuperguidegames made him the main villain.

Ah, yes he was. Basically, we try not refer to people's gender online, cuz some safety experts say that's a no no. So I say "they" a lot instead of "he" or "she." But I think it's ok in this case. Yes, he was one person, and we now know who (else) he was on the site too. :)

(view all replies)Kaj is pretty much like 1x1x1x1, 1x1x1x1 was the Kaj of ROBLOX. Kaj was the 1x1x1x1 of scratch. Kaj and 1x1x1x1 were BOTH made UP stories. Compare it.

One thing that bothers me is that some one posts a remix on mine, however doesnt change the notes, title, or hardly anything about the project itself and then I flag it, however it is not removed and I get in trouble somehow! :(
Ah - thing is, some people might not know how. Also, some people on get on like once in a long time. So if it doesn't change soon, it's not necessarily because they are ignoring you.
Ah - if the project really isn't a remix - has nothing changed - we'll send them a notification, and we may take it down. But even if they've changed something small, we still count that as ok. I know this can seem confusing to a lot of people, but having everything be remixable is a core value of ours.

No, they never were. It's just that in the rumors that grew up around them, they became a legendary hacker, even though in real life, they never hacked anything.
(view all replies)My brother was on scratch the time when kaj was being "mean". Kaj hated my brother so much. My brother went onto kaj's account and told him to stop or else he would tell the scratch team, then kaj never said anything else to my brother ever again. Then a few days later my brother go banned from this website. WHY!
I dunno! Your brother can write to ask why. Normally people get blocked for breaking the community guidelines (see the link at the bottom of the page).

:) It's ok, we know who they were. They haven't come back yet, but we can tell if they do. The funny thing us, we'd be fine with letting them back, since they never really did anything all that bad (people only thought they did).

Nope. The only "hacking" you can do with an IP is a DDoS, but that just disables your internet for a little while, no harm done.

Please leave the protecting up to us, and just flag anything you think is disrespectful, or breaks our community guidelines. (See the link at the bottom of every page for more info!)

Actually, Kaj never did anything like that. And we don't discuss actions taken against accounts with anyone but the account holder. But, you can probably guess the answer to your own question.

Do users pretending to be Kaj get IP banned, or is just the Kaj account blocked?
Well, in general people can get blocked for trying to game the community, so yeah. We can usually forgive / trust them enough to unban, but not always. Nowadays since most people aren't really afraid of Kaj we just block them, but if it keeps up, we'll block the main account of the kaj (which we can see).

Best not to -- a lot of people have done that and scared others, so we tend to be fairly quick to block them. But you can make a Kaj project (but don't say you're hacked.:)
