I've made remixes of two of your projects for you to download and look at. They answer some of your questions. I worked hard on them so they may take some time to study, but Scratch is fun anyway!! :-) I sent you the links.
I started making projects at Scratch about two years ago so I've had some time to learn a few things. But I have a lot more to learn. I keep downloading projects to see how they work. And if something in my project doesn't work right I keep trying. And, I ask for help from the forums. And people give me tips in their comments. As long as it's fun it's really interesting!
I really appreciate your comment because this is the third in my current series of music projects, and I've worked hard on them. I hope you liked Cat's blue suit and bow tie!! :-) He wears a tuxedo in the other projects. These music projects keep Cat pretty busy! Thanks again!
Download the 3 sprites and 10 scripts of "C-Triumph" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Press the Spacebar to start the music! BEST if downloaded and played through a good computer sound system!! **This piece celebrates Scratch and controlled randomization by playing a triumphal march in C major. This time the music is delivered by the excited audience, conducted by Scratch Cat. The tune, the Bass-line and the choice of instruments are all randomized, but controlled by Lists. You can change the overall tempo using the slider. Opus 30 is the latest in my RMG (Random Music Generator) series. I hope you enjoy it! Larry828

That's a great idea about using the pentatonic scale! I'll start to work on it as soon as possible. Thanks!!
