Nope, mouseytaco, I'd have to disagree with you. It's also used as an excuse for millions of people to be deprived of certain rights, which, frankly, is quite despicable. In a way, it may be a very powerful book, but certainly not a good one.

Exactly! I've read some of genesis, exodus, leviticus, ruth, and some of the gospels. I plan to read more, just to understand what's going on a little better.

If Christians are as wonderful as they say they are, why do so many tell me that I will go to hell and hate people that are not Christians? Didn't Jesus tell you guys to love thy neighbor as thyself? Explanation please! o_O

Jesus never even mentioned hell, it was added to the bible by a king so that people would be afraid of god, the idea of hell came from some indian tribe

What he is saying is that Jesus loves you so much that he gave his life so that you don't have to go to hell. And he hopes you will ask him some day for forgiveness for your sins. God loves you more than you can imagine.

And people have also found more deep-sea stuff. There were chariots found at the bottom of the sea where the Exodus occured. There were also many, many bodies with them.

Jer. 7:31: “They [apostate Judeans] have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.” (If it never came into God’s heart, surely he does not have and use such a thing on a larger scale.)
The scripture, “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin,” is relevant because we are also talking about hell.

amandude, you have offended ME by saying that. Jesus4ever has the right to say anything he wants. It is also better to believe in god and find out he isn't real,(even though he is real) then to go to Hell. I hope you realize the true meaning of life. P.S. I'm praying for you
