i hae a question, how do you know god exists?
because... can you believe that the whole world around us just happened by a bang, its like putting puzzle pieces in a box shaking it up to just happen to have all the pieces in the right spot. It takes more faith to beleive in atheism or the big bang theory then christiananity.
Well, I know God exists because it'd be weird if I didn't believe in myself. Except the Christian God is completely far fetched.

I'm Christian, and I'm afraid i dont go to church or read the bible any more than 3 times a month, but I daily pray to him, and thank him for all he has helped me with. (view all replies)This is a difficult subject, but I would like to answer your point about slavery in the Bible. I did a report on this not long ago. Looking at the verses that talk about slavery, it DOES seem that the Bible LIKES slavery. Paul even talks about slaves being subject to their masters, and their are verses about selling slaves when the owner dies. HOWEVER... if you look at the context of these words, and if you look at the differences between slaves now and then, it makes a HUGE difference...

Jews didn't just crussify Jesus for "spreading love."
Most of why he was crucified was because Jesus was making the religious leaders look bad, he went against most of what the leaders said. they wanted him cruxifed. When the leaders caught him (preplanned from the beg. of time) they asked the roman rulers to crcify him but thy cut fnd no fault. Rom. finally gave in and let the jews cruxify him.
Correct, he was primarily preaching against the powerful, political entity that the church at the time represented. The irony is that Jesus was preaching against the dogmatic, institutionalised church that had perveted religion for its own political gain. 2000 years later, and Christianity is now just as bad in that respect as the temples Jesus sought to topple.

I just have to say that some of it isn't exactly true. You make the romans look all evil, they didn't kill jesus because they thought he was spreading peace and love, but rebelion and uproar. Most countries today without freedom of speech would do the same thing.

Nice project. You took an awesome Bible story and made it easy for both adults and children to understand. It's kind of disappointing to see the lack of Christian projects here (Last I counted, there was 5), but you've made one of those projects. In other words: I love it, man! CHRIST RULES!!

I am not a christian, or am ever going to become one. I really don't like religion as a whole. I'm not an Atheist. I don't actively disbelieve in god, but I generally think of god as just a way of explaining the world and giving you some firm ground to stand on But I do think Jesus existed. I think he probably wasn't of divine lineage (no offense) but I also think their is quite a lot of things I can learn from him and I agree with many of his teachings. I enjoyed watching this, just so I got a feel of where Christianity is coming from. i also liked how you talked about the tender topic of religion without being agressive.
At least your open-mindeed about it all. It's good to get a open opinion from where other religions are comming from. Also, God IS a firm ground to stand on. I think what you mean is what Thomas Pain said, that people use Christianity as a crutch to try to understand the unexplainable.. Well, that may be true, but how does that prove that Christianity is not totally 100% acurate? Just food for though.

Jews belive that we will go to heaven if we perform good deeds. Christians beleive you will go to heaven if you beleive in Jesus. That is on eof the only differences in our beleifs. "Deed and Creed"
actually, that is not the only difference. I can not list them all. Anyways, Christians think doing good deeds is AWESOME, but is not the way to get to God. Just follow Jesus, and you are on the right path.
I respect your religion so you should respect non christians religion too. I think it is fine that you put this on the website but I think you should hold back all the "Become Christian" stuff.
