hey thats reallyu kool. if u go to the comment part on this page and writein it with a jumble of letters while the song is still playin then backspace it all the song goes all weird. try it!
Jens, I just uploaded a new project called "Scratch Sounds" that allows lists of the instruments and drums to be displayed on the screen at will. I had your music projects in mind when I made it. Adding it to music projects would allow one to choose a particular instrument instead of trial and error by numbers. I'd be interested in your reaction.
Not only is this another one of your amazing music projects, you continue to push the limits of what you know how to do in Scratch. In this case, experimenting with your melody finding algorithm. Your talents and your curiosity are a great combination! Keep up the good work. And thanks for all the examples of how to use variables!!
News everybody: davidchen is going to make street fighterIV final game, it's going to be down before stptember first. In this game, first: you can choose 1 player or 2 player. second: in this game, whatever you choose 1 or 2, you will use 2 people two fight! That means it's a 2 on 2 game. third: this game have cool music with background, and you can choose many different background as you like. OK everybody, lets wait for it! It's going to be awesome!
For those of you interested in "music theory": In this project I'm experimenting with a new (well, at least to me...) melody finding algorithm. The solo instrument randomly runs up / down a hexatonic 'blues' scale extending over two octaves in various rhythms, while the other instruments follow a non-random traditional blues chord progression to a straight rock'n roll back beat (easier to code that way). The music start off traditionally in E (key 40). Those of you who - like myself - find this a bit too low might want to change the key to 43 (G).
This project makes a solo instrument improvise randomly along a twelve bar blues chord progression with a straight back beat and a boogie-woogie bass line.
It's another customizable one-sprite composer. You're welcome to reuse it to add endless background music to your projects by exporting / importing it and by adjusting the variables to your preferences.

You can make a 'watcher' of every variable by marking its checkbox. Then you can right click on the watcher to edit its properties. Hope that helps...
