Wow! Another great project from Jens. Although, at the 11th iteration, there are a lot of lines that don't fit together quite right... Other than that, its perfect! :)
Sure, I just did a block for the sensing category that reports the note-number for the main frequency currently sensed by the microphone. Thanks for trying BYOB, btw, buddha108!
I know about the dragon fractal! I was thinking about doing a project about it too afterI saw an applet for it. it is also known as the "jurrasic park fractal" because the book jurrasic park had one itteration of it for each chapter.
Hi MyRedNeptune, good to see you again! This is "double Heighway curve" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_curve), a fractal. I did this to show how to simulate recursion (pieces of code being nested within themselves, sort of) in Scratch, as opposed to the much easier "real" recursion offered by my BYOB prototype (http://www.chirp.scratchr.org/blog/?p=19)

i LOVE this , dont stop u rock
Where's Billy and Jimmy Lee? This isn't Double Dragon! D:
THIS IS SO COOL AND YOU CAN REALLY SEE A RAINBOW.
Cool, I like it!
COOL!!!!
the 11 iteration looks really cool
oops (11th)
I see the dragons.
Wow! Another great project from Jens. Although, at the 11th iteration, there are a lot of lines that don't fit together quite right... Other than that, its perfect! :)
Wow! You can turn that into a dragon order return block! You used scratch 1.3?!?!
HEY! There's only 12 itiriations!
nope 13.
ONLY
wow
AMAZING!!!
The rainbow pattern is brilliant. Awesome project! A good sequel too...
whoa.
this is the best
wen duz it stop?
It stops at iteration 12 (start of 13th)
never.
(view all replies)I want this as my screensaver! :D
Me too!
What does this have to do with Double Dragon the video game?
nothing. This is a fractal shape which Benoît Mandelbrot coined the term "river of double dragon".
(view all replies)By 11 it looks like a fence that has been spray paijnted all the colors of the rainbow!
totally
great
cool...fractals are super interesting to look at!
this game is so cool thx for making it that is awsome. anyway make more and the colors are so cool i love this pattern too.
very nice, I'm not even going to try figuring out how this is made! Also do you speak french?
Well, I love the French language, but I'm not really good at it, just barely enough to survive vacations ;-)
(view all replies)schön! Schade bei solchen Projekten, dass scratch künstlich verlangsamt wird.
Naja, andererseits würde man sonst nicht "zusehen" können, wie das Projekt funktioniert.
wum wum wum wum wum wum wum!!!
this is really cool
I think that this is a very interesting idea and by all means didn't get boring until the 18th iteration or something like that.
I mean the 13th
I love jurassic park! Chaos theory is cool!
this isn't chaos theory though its a fractal.
wow! your a expert!
Sniff! It stopped at thirteen! Great job! I really like the artwork! :)
download byob (it's in the forums) and it has something like it that goes on forever
Hey Jens, can you tell me what you think about this project:(link to project)
Wow! It's incredible. I'm just a beginner to Scratch. This is really amazing & fascinating to me! :D
this reminds me of that screensaver
Faster online
Jens, may I please interview you for the next issue of my scratch newspaper, The New Dork Times?
Sure, shoot!
(view all replies)i guess its cool.
You have so many colors there. It looks great.
What is this supposed 2 do?
this project draws some fractal geometry, it's a math play thing
That is awesome!
Woah! This is freaking awesome! I set literation 10 as my desktop background.
how do you do that?
(view all replies)do you know why some games are different online? (link to project)
whoops i said cant instead of can... sorry
hey when are you going to make your next project? any ways i was hoping if you cant answer this question here: (link to forums)
are you going to make a compiler for scratch 1.3 projects?
Sure, I will, as soon as I find a little time
(view all replies)Does it ever stop?
Yes, this one stops after the 12th iteration. If you're looking for an infinite (and simpler) version I've included a similar sample in BYOB.
ummm... no offence but your icon creeps me out look directly into your eyes.....
sorry for spamming, but I'm asking all the good scratchers this question: (link to forums)
I can't wait to see your next project. Do you have any ideas for your next project? Once again, I can't wait!
Umm... When are you going to share your next project???
Haha, good question, Spenfen! I've got so many ideas and soo much else to do first...
(view all replies)(link to project) my edited version. hope U like it.
can I edit your project please.I'll give U credit
Is It Possible To Share The Projects U Made On BYOB?
not on the website. That's why I threw in a fake compiler, so you can share these projects as .exe files
Hey, Jens I Saw Your Forum Post About BYOB. Man, That Left Me Breathless! Is There Anything Else Your Working On?
Sure, I just did a block for the sensing category that reports the note-number for the main frequency currently sensed by the microphone. Thanks for trying BYOB, btw, buddha108!
Hi Jens, I have a project that could use some of your skills for help: (link to project)
I know about the dragon fractal! I was thinking about doing a project about it too afterI saw an applet for it. it is also known as the "jurrasic park fractal" because the book jurrasic park had one itteration of it for each chapter.
no wait, I'm not sure.
(view all replies)More dragons! You can never get bored of dragons. ;)
It looks pretty. What is it? :)
I don't understand the code. :(
lol jens i think you are a math freak :P
does it stop at 13? this was really cool! ^^
could u help me make an Icon? Where do u find the image file?
