This is great. I thought that you had solved cloning in the regular Scratch some thing are really want. I read the foprum stuff and I saw that this is not done yet. I downloaded the squeak from s_federici following your instructions and fullmoon's that does cloes and delete blocks but since these do not have a run time (why not?) they are really like duplicate and delete commands in Scratch. How do we get the scratch team to include this in 1.3 (when is that do you know?)
Thanks for you interest in this. I don't believe cloning sprites will be a feature included in the upcoming 1.3 release, but - of course - I don't know for sure, either. Until then I guess we'll just have to kludge around with what we have... (but it's still fun, isn't it?)
Very compact and useful. It seems also to work with the "costumealt" erase stamp that you have in there. Now if only you could keep track of them in a sorted array :)
Thanks! First I only had the "costumealt" stamp, but it didn't work online, that's why I added a slightly bigger eraser costume leaving in the original one in to indicate how I really meant it to work. About arrays, well, I already did all I could ;)

if scratch had arrays you could make an unlimited amount of intances.

Exactly! You'll be pleased to know that the next version of Scratch will be having these.

Cloning seems to slow it down. I expected that to happen.
