Paddle2See suggested that I send you a link to a musical project I just completed (and improved with his help). It uses "controlled randomization" to attempt to create music that has some particular 'flavor' or 'character'. (link to project) You might find Paddle2's comments of interest as well. (It's hard to believe I'm sending this link to Scratch's Master of Music...)
Wow! I'm not much of a guitarist myself, but now I can pretend I am. I actually fiddled with this myself, but I recorded myself playing chords, which sounds pretty bad.
I download it in order to learn with you the technique of the chords because my "HolyNight" project would be better if I could add the chords. Be my guest and visit this musical project of mine.
Oldschooler2, feel free to download and remix it and add other chords to this project, that would be really great. If you look at how this project is done it is fairly easy to add additional chord forms (as I have done mysel in some other projects of mine that are originally base on this one)
Download the 5 sprites and 29 scripts of "Chords" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
This project plays chords. You can use it to accompany songs out of a song book (well, if you're sitting in front of a computer instead of behind a guitar, sort of...).
Here's how:
Press any bass key (c d e f g a b) on the keyboard to play the corresponding chord.
Press up/down for sharp (#) or flat (b) keys.
Press left/right or (m) to toggle between major and minor chords.
Pressing (7) toggles an additional seventh.
Mouse-clicking anywhere on the background replays the last chord. Click on the question mark for help.

I can record a song with this! It rocks! The only thing I ask is if it had 2nds-6ths and sustains (suspended notes, that is).
can you talk to me?
you should make you're job making songs on scratch and putting them as real games!!!!!
Excellent. Now if only Scratch supported arrays, you could create, record and playback chord sequences.
I love your projects!
a little boring
fantastic
