Hmm, I'm sorry you're having problems (and I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Why don't you just download Chirp, It's got this feature included...
Hmmmm. You seem like an experienced scratcher. Same here. I dunno if im as experienced as you, but if you want, you can veiw my newest project computer dogs. :D
To make this project "work" you have to follow its instructions closely, it's not like the others: You have to fileIn the changeset *before* opening Scratch in the Source Code. So you have to open this project in Scratch, copy the changeset, then open the Source Code, copy the changeset wot a workspace, file it in, and open Scratch within the Source Code. The easier way, of course, is to just download Chirp from http://chirp.scratchr.org where this is alreay integrated.
It's great that your adding tons of stuff with the source code but I rather not download it with my sorta slow computer so, why don't they make a version Scratch 1.2.2 or even 1.3?
sausagestand: I'm sorry, the installation instruction in my project weren't entirely correct. You have to file in the patch *before* opening Scratch in the source code. I have just updated this project with the correct instructions.
Okay, you're probably getting bored by this... I just wanted to find a way to use Scratch on old low-res computers without having to rewrite the whole IDE. Besides being able to accidentally resize the Scratch window without getting some kind of scroll mechanism always bugged me. This finishes my Scratch-"patch" series for now, I promise ;)
Download "scroll"(3 sprites and 17 scripts) and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
- caution: experimental -
this project includes a tiny Squeak patch which dynamically adds scroll bars to the Scratch window, whenever you resize it below its minimum resolution.
It will let you enjoy Scratch on older computers with low-res screens, e.g. 800x600, or whenever you need the Scratch window to be smaller for some other reason, and still want to be able to see everything.
Toggling to and from presentation mode is also supported.
This project tells you how to install this patch into the officially published Scratch source code version. 1.2.1
