Awesome! But I downloaded, expecting to see something invloving lists, and I saw twelve sprites that create the illusion of atleast a hundred stars! How did you do it?
I used a script that randomly drew dots on the stage - then I used "Save picture of stage..." and re-imported. I then put it into sprites using Jens Scrolling method - check out his project name3d "Big". I then tweaked the movement so it looks 3d :) Thanks for the kind comment... :)
You said you would upload multiscratch (1.4 beta 6.1) when you edited out the share button. Why? the mesh doesn't work online. You can just share it the way it is. Tell me when you do. Thanks! :D
this reminds me of the starts in the game "guardian". hey, btw, I asked if I could join your group in the olympics. I'm not sure if the thread will be on the front of show and tell by the time ur on, so I'm just telling you now.
There has been a lot of confusion going around... I posted *if there wouldn't be enough members* i could join the team. But for some reason everyone assumes there aren't enough members... So they misunderstood my posted and abandoned my team so I am forced to join the russian one. I suggest you join that one too :(
Awesome! Also regarding the olympics: I need you to tell me what I should say in the website about your team and what things I should include about your team.
Hmm Not sure - I like that project because the clever usage of speed/size. That makes it more realistic: mine looks like the stars are on three fields - like they are in my prroject :(
Thanks for your comment It makes my day;=> I knew Paddle2Sea would promote it but to have my idea called ingenious by JSO;=>Yay Life is worth livingI will try it
Download the 13 sprites and 21 scripts of "Explore space" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
Move your mouse and watch this easy 3d effect I made.
I wanted to use something for a huge space game I'm making - but since this already takes at least 12 sprites (+1 template) that might not be that good idea.
The star backgrounds are made with a little random pen script.
if you'd like to use it in one of your games, feel free!
As an update, I want to make it scroll continuously, with the arrow keys and a little space ship.

wow... that is really cool!!!
Awesome. Super awesome.
This has such great layering effects. Amazing.
This would go good with illusionist's upcoming Space War 4. I'll let him know :D.
Its done! see http://scratch.mit.edu/users/illusionist_extra
(view all replies)I already found one. But this is good too! I'm uploading a LITTLE demo of sw4 soon.

This is awesome! I love how you created the 3-D layers effect!
Thanks :D

(view all replies)great. I love the effect of the different "layers" of stars. Great!
Clever use of custom center...
Is it possible that I could use this as a part of my new game?? I'll give you CREDIT!!
Sure you can use it :)

(view all replies)the new BYOB 2.0.0 has the mesh feature :)
yeah, then scratchers can talk with the project, not through TONS of comments!
(view all replies)fruit created a chatroom using chalkmarrow's Snyff. Maybe it could be possible with the mesh feature!!
(view all replies)Sure :) But it is difficult and buggy - that's the reason they took it out :(
(view all replies)WOW!!
Oh, whoops, the link is here: http://scratcholympicsrussia.webs.com
Hey, about russian roulette, could you check out the website I made for it and tell me if it's good?

Cool! Similar to this (link to project) only yours is better :)

That is so awesome~ you are a genious mah friend!
I love this! Starfields are one of my favorite things to program.
Excellent! Nice and smooth pseudo-3d effect, I love it
Thanks! It was just a test that took only about 15 minutes, so... :D
cool! You should make it so you can see constellations. :)
This is definitely one of the coolest space-gazer projects I have seen yet! BTW, do you know where I can find a really great star-warp field?
No problem! So something like a project where you move "through" the stars... Hmm I'm not sure. You can always use these sprites if you want to!
Yeah? Huh what? What is a star-warp field?
(view all replies)What do you mean by Star-warp field?
(view all replies)I created something like this. But this is cooler.
Thanks for the link!
Oops... Can't seem to find it :(
Checking it out...
