Hi my charecter name is jamesoo7 and i think I no how to make ather cars race. You need to make thm keep gliding intill it gets to the spot were you want the other cars to end. By the way, I love your game

Here are some suggestions: Make the player able to control the acceleration and brakes of the car, make the car able to turn when not pressing the acceleration, make the car bounce off the first building, and make the car damagable for effect and realisticness.
The background is shakey.

(view all replies)have you figured out how to make the AI's yet? you could use lists, make two lists, X and Y, with way point cordinates. and the AI's move tword each in order, avoiding obstacles.
Yeah, and there should be dot sprites on a minimap moving, the real cars should be only a "projection"- I'm working on it! ;P But still thanks =)

How do you make the camera move with the car?
I know how to make an AI. All u have to do is make waypoints. When the AI touches a waypoint, the waypoint tells it exactly how to get to the next waypoint(including staying on track), and keep doing so until the AI reaches the finish line.

I don't likle my time to get wasted, so I don't waste yours :D This project has many layers, as you can see when you download it. You have the grass, the road, and the scenery objects where you can bump off, and the cars. and their control sprites. You don't want the cars to appear below the road so: while loading, it uses waits and go-to-front-s to set up all layers...

I like your system for colission with other objects. In the next versionit would be great if you could try to get more images from different angles of the car.

you spent alot of time on the sprites(good!) An exellent project. some of the turrain sprites dont match up graphically:) P.S. what kind of AIs do you want?
it takes ages to load so i gave up
