I never changed the password. I logged into it to see it, since its a public account, but I never changed anything. I don't even know HOW to change passwords. Someone else must have done. Anyone could have, seeing as its public.
UR SOOOO LUCKY! i mighta gone but i was at a family reunion at the time in west virgina. this really put me into the confrence without even leaving my chair!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR SHOWING THIS! I WISH I WENT TO THE CONFERENCE! AND I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD SUGGEST NEW BLOCKS! I'LL DO THAT NOW! THANKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!
They didn't tell us which blocks would be in the final version, because they are still working on it. But they did tell us what they're considering, and asked our opinions. To answer your question: I did not see new bricks that were worded exactly that way, but they are working on some similar things. They were trying out some really cool new ideas with Variables, for example. They did not mention any ideas for new sound bricks, but I suggested the idea to them, especially for a stop sound brick
Funny you should say that... because I am in New Jersey right now! I go to college here, and I went to the Scratch conference from New Jersey. So don't lose hope!
I'm sorry you couldn't go, but I hope you had fun at summer camp. In response to point C, I assure you that the conference is still very fun and educational :)
Hey that's a good idea I hadn't thought of! We could recreate the whole Google Calendar thing (which is pretty interactive from what I've seen) in Scratch!
Thank you! I stayed up very late working on it, I wanted it to be current (chalk that up to my journalist tendencies).
Have I met you at the conference? I can't really tell who you are by the thumbnail pic, so if I've met you, let me know! I want to find and friend all of my new conference friends on the Scratch site.
Yes, I am one of the journalism majors at the conference :) I'm definitely not the only one, one of the girls who came with my group is also a journalism major. But I'm the male journalism major, the one with the big curly hair :P
Batzerk is currently playing the piano about 20 feet from me (we are roomates for this summer). He hasn't posted much on Scratch lately because he has been using a programming language called Processing recently. Its more complex, which is why he likes it, but it uses traditional written lines of code, not Scratch bricks. So in other words, its not as fun :P
I'm one of the exceptions, I guess, because I'm actually a college student, not a teacher. Some of my classmates and I helped out with a summer research program that used Scratch, so we came here to share our story & results. I worked with some other Scratch users you may have heard of, like Wodunne and Batzerk.
The conference IS pretty cool, but most people who are here did some kind of work with Scratch in order to be invited. A large portion of the attendees are educators of some sort, such as teachers, professors, principals, etc. And everyone there is very nice and enthusiastic. So be excited kids, your teachers are trying to figure out ways to bring Scratch into the schools!
Download the 15 sprites and 35 scripts of "Scratch at MIT" and open it in Scratch
Project Notes
I was one of the lucky Scratch users who got to attend the conference yesterday.
But since not everyone gets to attend, I thought it would be nice to share a little bit about what I saw there. That way you can all learn some new things from the conference!

what new blocks we're suggested?
You must really like Iron Man. Have you seen the new Iron Man movie?
I did yeah, thats what started my Iron Man phase. I use him in a lot of my projects simply because its my name, so its kind of like my signature.
1.3 is out horay
change the password back, or else u will be suffering technical difficulties
And I do not appreciate all of the baseless accusations, especially all over my projects. If you pull a stunt like that again I will be flagging you.

This is a wonderful idea! I was hoping to do something similar...but my laptop can't read my camera card so it is going to have to wait. Nice job!
Thanks! I'll probably do a project for the other days on the train ride home today. What else will I do for 7 hours if I don't do Scratch?

Hi, are you the journalism major? :D I've seen you around at sessions (if it is you)..but I wanted to make sure!
Yes, I am one of the journalism majors at the conference :) I'm definitely not the only one, one of the girls who came with my group is also a journalism major. But I'm the male journalism major, the one with the big curly hair :P
Lucky! God, I wish I was at the conference...

The search menu when I look for Krystof has not been working very well, so here is a link to his projects. Most of the projects he uploaded were done by his students in Australia! http://scratch.mit.edu/users/Krystof">http://scratch.mit.edu/users/Krystof
